Rarely leaves the safe, desu. The Sig 551 SB is just so much better overall that I don't bother with it.

I only got it because it was so ludicrously cheap. €325 for the Vz58V, 4 mags, mag pouch, bayonet, sling,...? That's just too good to pass up.
I slapped some fabdef furniture on it & a magpul VFG to make it easier to shoot or slap a red dot on it, but didn't end up shooting it much.

The Euro market was flooded by Vz58 & CZ858 about a decade ago. It's been drying up. At the low point, I've seen them at €295.

I suspect they go for around €500 now? But potentially you can find them cheaper second hand.

I'd suggest looking for models built as semi-only, since there is a gun law change pending which might outlaw full to semi conversions as stipulated in the EU guidelines. But it's unclear how that'll play out. Due to the uncertainty, it's not a bad idea to play it safe.

Bulgarian ak74 parts kit with a waffen works receiver. Will more than likely keep all original furniture.
Did the conversions on both the saigas: one in Bulgarian blonde furniture and bakelite magazine and the black one with galil stock in 223.
Got cocky and built the Hungarian amd sidefolder and am disappointed in some things.
Hopefully the ak74 build goes smoother. Better parts kit, I have better tooling and did some better research

Test drove one of the sahara models at the local dealer and it was pretty comfy, unfortunately the dealer had no leads on mount for the M53 or an RPD

Part of the reason I sold mine was if I went SBR on it, I would either want the correct UF stock and build it as a true M92, or do a correct triangle folding stock on it because they look amazing like that as well.

If I could do it over again, I would get a Retro for that A E S T H E T I C frame shape and paint it OD green and install the gun mount.

It's a Finn Luger (so NFA exempt), but someone slapped an aftermarket barrel on it. It was a nice find, needs some new springs, but is a nice collectors piece. It's funny that the first thing everyone notices is the White AUG though.
