Those are people who do not have indication of any substantial pistol shooting skill and invest all of their ego and emotion into a caliber.

While a 10mmfag is trying to get effective on target hits at a rapid succession with his faggot Glock 29, I'm going to be shooting him in the fucking face over and over with my Glock 19 that outperforms it despite it being 1mm smaller in diameter.

10mmfags would be quicker to buy an assortment of studded dildos to sit on as opposed to buying a shot timer to see if they're actually as effective as they would be shooting a 9mm/.40/ .45/ caliber handgun.

>mfw go to a class and see some faggot with a Glock 29

Shits snappy as fuck with proper 10mm though
The 20? Even with underwood it basically feels like a warmish 40. And you can carry it too! It's the size of a 17 with a slide that's only .1 inch thicker.

>only 1mm
It also has TWICE the energy of a 9mm.
You've got a 165 grain gold dot going along at 1450 fps! That shits no joke.
Also S&B has middle of the road (in terms of power still 550 ft ilbs) 10mm practice ammo for only 30 cents per round. That's not too bad, especially if your not a poor fag.
10mm definitely has a learning curve, but if you're willing to put the time into controlling the muzzle flip, you DO gain quite a bit in power

Point me to someone who is willing to shoot and afford +10,000 rounds of 10mm in a single year let alone willing to carry a Glock 20 for an upwards of 12 hours every single day of the year.

Point me to one credible self defense instructor that advocates 10mm or even shoots 10mm. I'll wait.

If the guns weighed more, then it would probably be easier to handle and have a better shot of becoming viable to more people.

The only reason the FBI dropped 10mm is because they started letting women become agents.

Topkek

Glock 20 has 15+1, gp 100 has 6.
Glock 20 has less recoil in similar loads as well as faster follow up shots.
Underwood 10mm through a glock 20 has 720 ft ilbs of energy with a 165 grain gold dot
Underwood 357 through a 3 inch revolver has 624 with a 125 gold dot.
Both the glock 20 and a 3 inch 686 are 8.2 inches long, so apples to apples

>357fags BTFO

10mm is for Alaskans. 9mm isn't a responsible option for bears.
>>
>>34081097
If your shooting 10,000 rounds a year, you'd probably be reloading anyways. But as I stated 30 cents a round by a respected ammo manufacturer is right on par with 45 acp. Is it as cheap as 9? Hell no it's not, but it's not too bad either.

Instructors probably wouldn't advocate that EVERYBODY pick up a glock 20, because that would be retarded. It requires that the shooter already have a certain level of skill and experience to fully reap its benefits. The 10mm is NOT for everybody, but if one is willing to put in the time to get good with one, you truly have a lot of firepower on your hands.

>point me to someone who is willing
Glock 20 fully loaded weighs the same as A 1911 empty, there are plenty of people who carry those fucking things. Again it has the same outline as glock 17 with a slightly thicker slide. I could search to find people who carry them, but I don't really feel like it
>>
>>34081126
I took the bait hard, you win

It is apples to apples though, the same ammo manufacturer, the same length guns, 125 is generally accepted as the best option for urban carry of 357

Also glocks take out more "urban dwellers" by police than the gp100 will ever hope to
>>
>>34081174
>Also glocks take out more "urban dwellers" by police than the gp100 will ever hope to
I will never argue the "capacity" issue
A lone cop needs ammo
Stupid argument in any event
If 50% of cops still carried 357...
>>
>>34081054
This right here

>all handgun rounds perform the same!

>you can't hunt hogs with 9mm!

If a certain handgun caliber will put down animals faster than other handgun calibers there's no reason this wouldn't translate to humans. Hunting gives you a legal, firsthand experience of why 10mm is truly superior
>>
>>34081230
You said glocks were for "urban dwellers" (nig nogs)

I was just pointing out you were patently false

Remember /k/omrades: Shot placement is king, and tiny hits are better than big misses. If you can accurately shoot and rapidly follow up with a 10mm, good on you. Just know that a lot of folks can't. Use the platform that's optimal for YOU.
>>
>>34081240
This also applies to shooting through cover, and I'm very surprised there aren't more 10mmfags on this board with all the 7.62fags that constantly spout its similar power over 5.56. There's an exact thread up right now about this.

>>34081154
While I do want a Glock 20 I still would rather have something like a USP in 10mm. The Sig looks neat but I'm not sure if I like it.
>>
>>34081738
>While I do want a Glock 20
fuggin sheeple
>>
>>34081427
41 magnum sucks ass, in an n frame you might as well just get a 44

If they had made a semi watered down 41 magnum that could be chambered in a 6 shot L frame when Remington and s&w released it, it probably would have become incredibly popular. At the time it was difficult to get reliable hollowpoint expansion from 9mm/357 caliber firearms, hence why they went with the 41.
Of course Remington goes full retard and makes it way overpowered thereby forcing smith to chamber it in a gun the size of a 44. The recoil was intense even out of the big heavy n frames. They did develope a police load which mirrored modern day warm 40 s&w but the guns were so big only a few police departments adopted it.
>>
>>34081762
>41 magnum sucks ass
No. No it does not
It is hard to find ammo near moi
Can't find 41 mag or 41 special
>>
>>34081736
Absolutely correct, though you don't have to be a Hickok tier shooter it certainly helps.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Aq_ZEEpPSOs
You absolutely CAN get quick accurate follow up shots with a glock 20 (29s are incredibly difficult with anything hotter than a warm 40), if you have the dedication, skill, and wrist/arm strength to get it done. Certainly not a gun to carry for first time shooters.
>>
>>34081755
I can't help it man, it's the cheapest one out there. I would love to have the Sig but I'm not a rich man. Not really interested in a 1911.
>>
>>34081784
Why not just get a 44?
Same frame size, easier to find ammo, and varying heat of 44 mag from factory or through reloading. Of course if you really want to have a relaxing time 44 special is great as well.
>>
>>34081796
>it's the cheapest one out there
Absolutely not true
Try harder glocktard
>>
>>34081801
i have 44 mag too
>>
>>34081796
Don't feel bad Glock 20 is probably the most powerful semi-standard size pistol out there.
The sig is nice but again you're only getting 8+1, and the bore axis really does affect follow up shots at this level of recoil
If it's just for range fun and you want something sexy, get a 1006. They're out there for 650-750 in good condition. They're built like tanks and have a great Miami Vice/ 80s aesthetic to them

Really just a poor mans/ more practical Bren Ten
>>
>>34081812
I'm not trying to be a trolling cunt like
>>34081807,
but what advantages do you see in the 41?
>>
>>34080943
I carry 10mm because when I'm carrying a gun I do it for defense against wild animals far more than against niggers. I don't live in a big city so there's little to no risk of me getting swarmed.
>>
>>34081807
Oh shit you're actually advocating an EAA? Hope you enjoy cracked frames, because with even a moderate diet of hot 10mm it's going to happen.
>heavier
>less capacity

Not everyone has to be a special snowflake in their firearms selection, sometimes things are popular because they're actually good
>>
>>34081826

i have 22 357 41 and 44
need 327 460 and 500

No I didn't, you mentally limited glocktard.
>>
10mm will fucking kill you and the person standing behind you without even touching you. 10mm is the greatest handgun cartridge ever created
>>
>>34081853
Then what then? What is this mystical 10mm that's cheaper than a glock?

Inb4 1006, if you want one in good shape it's usually 650+
>>
>>34081821
>1006
>They're built like tanks
Really? I thought I read somewhere that they were prone to cracks. In either case, I'd rather have something I can carry over only being a range toy.

What are you trying to say? I called a rep at underwood to see if they're 180 grain gold dots would be fine to shoot in my 1006. He told me it was absolutely fine and mentioned that they had heard no bad reports from 1006 owners.

Who searches an ammo manufacturer by gun brand? This is some incredibly low quality bait

It's not rare period, reloading makes it affordable. Two independent statements in one sentence. L2buy ammo online.
The fact that all it needs is a barrel change, same springs, same mags, same errthing else, is pretty fucking dandy considering just how famazing the cartridge is.

Story time
>Someone I knew went on a meth, antidepressant, alcohol binge
>Decided it was time to kill me, call Ed me first though to threaten me
> Hours go by and just before bed I hear a truck outside my window idleing
>10PM. Wtf
>Jump to feet and peer out, recognize truck, grab rifle, and shut lights out
>Boom, riiiiiiiip, schoooooook thump thump. BLAM.... BLAM.... BLAM
>A wild tweaker appears
I still can't see who or what it is down there but sounds like a few of em'
>Peek over the railing and see legs kicking a partition door
>Start yelling"get the fuck out now"!
>Flip safety off, PLAP! ND into stairs
>Fucking tweaker charges up stairs
>I back up and yell stop a few times
>...Nope
>Tweaker gets to the top and is like six feet from me and has something silver in hand
>FUCKING BOLTS FOR MY MUZZLE
>I stop yelling and move back slightly and fire twice
>First blows thumb tip off
>Second hits base of neck
>Tweaker drops like a sack of potatoes down the spiral staircase doing at least three full ass over tea kettle death spiral rolls down the stairs.

At this point I hear the truck out front burnout and peel up into the driveway. Honking wildly and revving engine. I call cops, watch closely outside, and expect the worst.

Tweaker lived but is paralyzed from chest down. The .22 Mossberg had a few hollow point rounds in it and that's why the tweaker is still alive. If it were fmj that would have been a fatal neck shot.

My advice. Any kind of .22 against something larger than a squirrel should be loaded with fmj. That .22 broke into tiny pieces and my only saving grace was shot placement and only one tweeker came inside thank god.

.22lr works fine but you better make sure you know where the vitals are and hit em.
