Jerky breakdown:

Blue Ox Original: 4.5/10 Might as well be Oberto. Waxy, spongy, falls apart like bologna, not enough smoke and way too much sugar. The label says "punches gas station jerky in the face," but I think they left off the part that says "so we can take it's place." Tastes like Cosco jerky. Now I know why it costs so little.

Blue Ox Buffalo: 6/10 The Blue Ox recipe is more at home on this stuff. Texture is good but still a bit too soft. Could use more drying and more smoke flavor to help boost the buffalo but the sugar is appropriate here. Mild plastic-y aftertaste.

Mahogany Cowboy: 69/10 Fuggen perfect m9. Excellent spicy, smoky flavor. Just the right chewy texture which doesn't fall apart but isn't jaw-tiring. The smell makes my salivary glands ache.

Mahogany Peppered Slab: 7.5/10 Different from most chew in that it's not as dry. Was expecting a long, tiring chew but was disappointed that it doesn't last long. Flavor is smoky, peppery and not sweet, as expected.

I have one. It's alright, I like that the upper is supported by the barrel lugs as opposed to the takedown pin holes. It's wobbly, even with the bolt carrier inserted as they suggest, but it does it's job.

Then when you flip it over it will hold lowers, and that works fine.

It's a nice tool to have.
