Is your truck gun actually usable in a timely fashion?
No?
Oh.
>>34065595
Why buy an SKS for $400 when you can buy AR's for that price now?
>>34065421
>yes goyim, put firearms in your easily broken into vehicles unattended for melanin diversification to take them as reparations
>>34065621
Are you implying that an AR 15 doesn't handle like shit? Also implying that it isn't a generifag weapon?
>>34065655
generic is a good thing when it comes to saving your life
what works works
>>34065668
I guess. It's not a bad rifle by any means, but I certainly wouldn't use it if I didn't have to. The block stocks are just not for me.
Not my photo, but its my truck gun.

>>34065434
he puts the skinny in skinnies
>>34067758
Nope, it's a mass produced firearm owned by many.
>>34065595
no really though you can buy an AR for the same price as an SKS now. There's literally no reason to buy an SKS unless you just really want one for some reason.
>>34065428
>>34065434
He meant truck guns, as in guns carried on trucks. Fuck it post gun-trucks.
>tfw you'll never innavietnam with your buddies in an armored truck
>>34065581
Someone (Natchez Shooters Supply?) used to sell rubber mounting hardware to secure your SKS in a car trunk or behind the truck seat. I shoulda bought three pair!
>>34065434
Jar Jar?

Sure can, bubs
>Who needs a truck gun?
People who aren't able to CC
Backwater country folk

Pistols blow, also watch videos from the LA Riots - then tell me a a carbine in a lock box isn't a good idea.

>>34068218

Check out G-Code for non-shit ones for around $20.

>>34065621
>>34067857
This is 100% true. If SKS's were still $200 I'd say go for it, but at this point AR's and SKS's are in the same price range. AR's in America are a far more practical weapon. The only reason to buy an SKS anymore is simply because you want one.
Leafs, this doesn't apply to you because you are cucked.
>>34065613
>not having both your CC in the cab and a rifle in the trunk
They're called truck guns because it's supposed to be a cheap $250-350 weapon that you're not afraid of having stolen or getting banged up. Pistol SRs/AKs are shouldn't be truck guns, or else you'll be like that Anon a few weeks ago crying somebody stole his truck AR pistol. Good examples of truck guns would be Rugers, Rossi/Charter revolvers, a Hi Point, Mossbergs, those SW Sigma's or hell even a shield at this price point.
>>34065434
The shape of his skull is weirding me out.
>>34072566
>nuggets
>>34072691
Yes nuggets but you're pretty goddamn stupid to bring a fucking antiquated bolt action rifle into. CQB situation. Shootouts aren't like movies, it's extremely hard to get a good sight picture if the target is moving, you're being engaged, they have cover, etc...a Nugget would be my last choice I'd rather have a high point 9mm
>>34072566
>your truck gun will be stolen, so make sure it's cheap
This is why you truck gun memers are called irresponsible morons.
>>34072725
>have nugget
>shoot bad goy
>miss
>he is killed by the muzzle blast
???
>>34072860
99% of car break ins are because someone leaves their door unlocked or leaves something valuable in plain view. Don't do these things and your shit won't get stolen.
This doesn't count car thefts
>>34072886
If you don't anticipate your car being broken into, then why advise that people purchase cheap guns as truck guns?
>>34072379
Please stop fucking my Tacoma.
>>34072534
Loaded rifle is verboten in PA, which is why I keep a braced pap with a chest rig behind my back seats.
>>34072930
I didn't, nigga. My truck gun is this PAP. And I don't own a truck.
I bought a Chinese SKS that someone had installed Tech Sights on from a pawn shop for like $300. The bore and internals are perfect, just needed a cleaning (why do pawn shop people never clean their firearms?)
Anyway, the damn thing is accurate, about as powerful as .30-30, tough as a tank, and I don't have to give one fuck about it.
I keep it unloaded oiled and in a gunsock with a couple of little silica gel packs and 3 stripper clips. Perfect for deer, hog, coyote, agressive dogs, etc. It's not an SD weapon, that's what my truck handgun is for.
It's a truck gun, for truck gun jobs.
>>34065581
you can literally buy them for like 220 on gun broker.
>>34073243
No you can't
>>34073243
Post link
Why not truck tank gun?
>>34065613
I thought the point of a truck gun is when you need a rifle for whatever reason when your regular carry won't suffice. But nice holster anyway
>>34067314
sorry sweetie we can
>>34073243
>Tfw I bought my Romanian SKS as a teenager in 2002 for $185. Well my grandpa bought it at least
I bypassed the wiring in my Coupe Deville so that the only thing that can open the trunk is the keys or somebody with a big saw and a lot of time. The interior buttons to open the trunk don't work, just the key, which is always in my pocket or on my bedside table which is an arm's reach away. Because of this, I'm not worried about keeping my Chinese paratrooper SKS carbine in a zip-up rifle bag in the trunk. The rifle bag has 4 pouches for mags, so I've got 4 30-round mags in the pouches and a 40-rounder loaded in the SKS.
My trunk SKS has actually come in handy before when I was driving my brother back home one night. I live out in the deep country and on the way from my house to the nearest highway, there were 6 deer in the middle of the road and no matter how much I honked the horn and flashed the brights, they weren't moving. I just stepped out, popped the trunk, grabbed the rifle, cocked it and shot one of the deer twice in the killspot and dropped him dead as the other deer ran off back into the woods. My brother and I stuffed the deer in the trunk and drove it back to my house so our dad could gut it while I drove my bro back home. We all ate good meat for the next 2 weeks.
In hindsight, a few shots from my G20SF on my hip could have done the job, but how often does a man with a 'truck gun' get the opportunity to use it? No regrets.
>>34075035
Why not both?
>>34067869
>>34075921
That's a pretty sweet setup, anon. What truck? Is that the backseat or is it a 2-seater?
>>34076697
Dual cab tacoma, that's the backseat.
>>34070434
Laws love to start off stupid and become totalitarian.
pls no bulli
>>34077989
my setup as well
>>34078006
how many people have asked you if its a spas?
Chink mosin. $150
Anything more expensive than that isn't worth the risk of losing.
>>34065518
>>34065421
Fucking retarded to keep a full length rifle in your car unless you're worried about animals
>>34078980
> t. urbanite
>>34073112
THis. I'm a PA boy and my truck gun is gonna be a small little AK pistol. My only worry is that philly cops would be pricks about it regardless
>>34077989
Nothing wrong with that.
saw op's pic. now I really want a mosin.. Why the fuck are mosin's 300$ now? I might have to settle for a fuckin cheap bolty .22
>>34080921
Supply and demand, same force that drives up all milsurp prices eventually. If you want a cheap bolt gun browse through used hunting rifle racks, can find some actually good shit if you are thorough
>>34080949
I found a savage mk2 at cabelas for 100$ last year. picked that up but don't feel like using it due to it having no iron's. I'll keep an eye out
