I've been really wanting an inox 92 variant with a rail for a while now.

Is the finish difference between the frame and slide terrible? i've heard some complaints.

Also, is it worth it to get a brigadier version over the normal ones? the added frame strength is nice and all but how much does it really help? does it mean a constant diet of +p+ is fine? will beretta stand behind them more if something occurs related to using such ammo? Frankly the ability to change out the front sight on them is almost more interesting to me.

The Elite's been pretty nifty so far. Buttery smooth everything, though I haven't gotten enough range time in lately for it. First impressions are pretty good overall, though I might want to put a new spring in to lighten the DA pull a little.
>>
>>34064229
I have one, and despite my disdain for its mag release, it's the best 92 I've ever fired. The slide frame and barrel fit is so much tighter than any other fs or 92 variant I've seen. Truly quality craftsmanship.

The D spring is a nice upgrade. I also dropped in a G conversion a while ago. Those two little things change the character of the pistol completely.

I wish I had some time on the compact. I would like to do the same treatment to one of those, but I can't justify burning $5-600 to start another project gun right now.

The checkering is very coarse but not harsh on the hands. The mag release is a world of difference. Protrudes a bit more and is very easy to actuate. Worth the money if you are considering it. I wish Beretta made the m9 with more checkering or something though. Just to make them different from eachother.

Dry fire and shoot the piss out of that 92 it'll smooth out. Estimation on round count? Also, that article basically just talks about polishing contact points, take your hammer spring out and trigger bar off and apply some sort of lube/grease and you will notice an immediate difference.

>>34075065
They do not, WC grips all have the WC logo (at least for the Beretta). But don't let that deter you I think the WC medallion carries a bit of status with it. You care about your weapon and put the most luxurious parts available on it.

>>34075667
Yeah I wish Beretta branched out more into tactical weapons like FN does. The fancy old pistol and fancy old shotgun market pretty much makes the company's success rest on the never ending sales of a few firearms.

Nice collection.

>>34075697
Damn that is a beautiful firearm. Take pics of it outside the natural light really shows the colour and detail.

>>34074883
Its not a glock the trigger only works intentionally.

Not all Berettas but each pistol has a purpose. The small grip and easy to use light/lazer on the P229 special configuration is the girlfriends, she keeps it in her purse which I am not fond off but its better than nothing. I'll convince her to carry on the waist one day. The P230 is for when I litterally can't carry the 92fs. I'm only 175 5'11" so if I'm in a t shirt I can't carry the 92. Any type of button down or coat will hide the 92 owb nicely though.

>aesthetic as fuck
>long barrel, not many firearms have a barrel that length
>long site axis because of long barrel
>comes with and without rail, pick your flavor
>chamber indicator, not a good alternative to a brass check but you can actually rub a finger over the slide to feel it in the dark
>locking block, a more accurate design that whatever that tilting barrel shit is
>feed angle is unmatched by other 9mm handguns
>ambi safety
>ambi mag release
>S/DA
...>DA provides level of saftey after the safety is disengaged
...>place finger on trigger during draw, no biggie
...>resting finger on trigger when sited in on a perpetrator, no biggie

The safety features could take up a whole nother post.

>other than having an actual safety and being S/DAn and has a chamber indicator
>Engaging the safety rotates plunger out of axis with the hammer, hammer does not hit the pluger which hits the firing pin during decocking or if the hammer falls on a safeties weapon
>safety on moves the trigger bar out of contact with the hammer
>has a firing pin block that you can see externally in the event there is some sort of malfunction you can verify the trigger bar is working

yes i have hundreds and the reason i ask i because i have never once seen a good photo of a firearm with something through the trigger

its like something dumb people do because they saw someone else do it so they ape what they see without knowing why. nobody knows why its turtles all the way down

>>34076293
photo looks like snapshit trash so this explanation is not accurate

>>34076305
>>34076384
im sure he did it safely and they are unloaded and he triple checked and cleared the neighborhood and called the bomb squad and whatever else but it doesnt matter. you can take photos of a firearm without putting things through the trigger guard

ok forget the safety aspect and lets look at it logically. why would you grind metal against metal for the sake of a photo? especially a photo that still looks like shit because the camera is shit and the composition is shit and the lightinig is shit.
and the camera is literally mathematically 90 degrees from the subject and background simultaneously! look at the photo its physically imposible but he did it! how did he prop the guns up and have the background and the guns parallel at the same time?!/!

so why do it???? its not for a better photo because there are literally no good photos of guns propped up by the trigger
is its done just to be stupid??? monkey see monkey do?? im having an aneurism trying to figure out why 90% of gun owners do this one meme

like look at this shit this dude is scratching up his firearm with a hardened knife blade in order to do what? take a super shitty cell phone pic? there are a million of these!
>>

That must be an old mag >>34076366 because it doesn't have the release cut in the same place as the ones you posted
>>

Those triggers are made out of plastic, you dolt. And so are the frames. Also, resting the weight of a pistol on a thin piece of metal is not grinding.

I know that you don't actually have to, but could you please try and contain your autism? It would make the browsing experiences of others more pleasurable.

there's no safety aspect at all here, jesus fucking christ

Front to back is roughly 2.25 inches at the heel of the grip, and 1.25 inches thick measured at the same place. I am 5'11 and about 170 with a very narrow waist. I carry under a light button up most of the time. The length means that the muzzle presses on my pubic bone sometimes, but good posture mitigates that.

Goddamn I want a WC beretta so badly. Too much of a jew though. I'm sure my beretta love will win out eventually. You shoot yours often, or is it more of a safe queen?
>>
>>34077806
It is a Safariland SLS from way back. The hood has a thumb rest on the side closest to my body. You have to press down on the rest, and then the hood will freely roll forward as you establish your grip. If you ever get one, be sure to hit it with some graphite, as the mechanism can be gritty. I like hooded holsters as I have found that they keep a bit more crud out.

Honestly, the Serpa works well with 90 series, as the DA mitigates trigger idiocy somewhat. I would not choose to carry a typical striker gun in an index finger driven holster, though. In a similar vein, I would not carry a gun with a 1911-style thumb safety in a thumb driven holster. I have seen guys switch off their safeties as they run the hood.

No it doesn't have to be professional, what I mean is people who prop guns up with stuff through the trigger justify doing so on the basis of it making a photo "better." But it literally never does. I challenge anyone to show a good photo of a gun with something through the trigger.

There was a guy complaining all day yesterday about it being unsafe but to me it just seems like a trope dumb people perpetuate without knowing why, like saying "clips" or "running" parts on a gun.

idk not looking for a fight, but can you find a good photo? I can't.

What's the highest round count you've got through any of your Berettas? I've probably got about 5000-6000 through the ARX-100.
>>
>>34088271
I have about 3k through my Beretta in its current form. Maybe 6 total.
>Mags range from 11 to 20 rounds
>>
>>34086347
Yup. The finish is nothing of value if you really are hasguns you shoot then.

>>34086530
I get a littke hakf chub every time I check one out to clean/qual.

Kek. Magical place.

>>34088350
Yeah id like to add a vertec to the collection one day. Gunna buy like 200$ worth of mags soon. Gotta stock up for 2021

Catching good light and highlighting certain angles is basic photography. Every fat girl on the Internet knows this. Most times it's easier to prop the gun up to get good light than it is to stand directly over a gun which depending on its design may not even lay flat on a flat surface. Profile shots are bland as fuck
>>
>>34090193
But can you show a photo of someone doing that by propping the gun up through the trigger guard to produce what anyone would call a "nice" or "good" photo?

Your point is irrelevant because there are ways to prop things up without putting a stick through the trigger guard, which is basically my point. Intelligent people just prop the gun up ON something.

>Your point is irrelevant because there are ways to prop things up without putting a stick through the trigger guard, which is basically my point. Intelligent people just prop the gun up ON something.

No my point is still relevant because having more than one way to do something doesn't make all the other irrelevant. It's not the way you like to do it and that's fine. Screech all you wish but it's not going to stop and it's still a super easy way to accomplish the goal. Approximately zero people have ND'd or killed anyone using that method. Enjoy the rest of your weekend as you try to change the world one disagreement at a time

>doesn't make all the other irrelevant
Not all the other ways.

Just one way.

The way I've been complaining about.

How is threading a stick through the trigger guard easier than just setting the gun atop something? Or using the same stick/pen/knife behind the gun rather than through it? Come on now.

And don't drag safety into this, that's not my concern.

How is it any harder.

Ya know what, since sharpies have apparently raped your grandma, why don't you tell me how it's actually worse. Better yet, start a thread on /p/ and link it so this one stops getting shit up
>>
>>34092915
I didn't say it was harder. You said it was easier.

You're right, it takes no effort to not stick things through the trigger guard.

Stripped with a light mounted is the gun equivalent of lingerie.

Weirdly, I have never actually seen an original, first version 92.

Not an S. A 92 with no letter.
>>
I want an APX, but I prefer my pistols to have a manual safety

It annoys me that most striker pistols coming out now don't have one.

Pic also related, want to pick one of these up eventually to hunt cylons
>>
>>34097323
Maybe the M&P series would be good for you. You can have your thumb safety and pair that with some of the excellent aftermarket triggers.
>>
>Some wop makes a gun that completely rips off Walther P38
>Proceeds to make more of the exact same gun in different sizes

Why is this popular?
>>
>>34097402
Originally is not terribly important in engineering. Seriously, let's not act as though the p38 was the first gun with a locking block, or a DA trigger. The 92 series is one of the early wonder nine guns that endures because of its reliability and shooting dynamics.
>m9s jam
Any gun will misbehave when mistreated for a few decades, given out of spec replacement parts from little job shops, and fed from mags whose design was so bad that most manufactures declined to bid on producing them.

YOU said it was easier to prop the gun up with some thing else. On a surface or with something under it while taking offense to the use of a common accessible object that's used for the same purpose all the time. You should just be happy it's not the usual filthy carpet and jizz stained sheets
>>
>>34097402
Because it's a legitimately good gun, with a solid service record and good looks. Your swipe at said wop is how cumulative knowledge works. CZ clones are rip offs, 92 was progress
