There a couple of threads a few months ago of some /x/ dudes who found the GPS coordinates of it. I checked it out and the spot was pretty close to the sketch, just basically mirrored in terms of the way the road came in and where the houses were. As the /x/ guys were all noguns they wanted /k/ to come along, think they were trying to set something up this summer.

I was just re-reading that a few months ago, and after hunting for the location on Google Earth based on the description in the original story, I managed to find one that looked pretty goddamned close. Then I googled enough to find the follow-up threads where they claimed to be going back to check it out.

Story's almost certainly bullshit (as in, anon didn't see shit, as opposed to anon flipping out and magdumping on a mangy bear or something) but the location he described was too accurately described - and too similar to the Google Earth images - to be an invention. Likely something he actually found while roughing it in the back-country. If a /k/ommando in that area actually does hike out there to take pictures, I'd love to see what the area looks like.
