thanks for eliminating my confusion. They were phasing out the BDU for the ACU with that shitty UCP pattern back when I was in (about 10 years ago).

Anyway, I like it. ACU was comfy and I liked the slanted pockets and whatnot, but UCP was unbearable.

Acu/ ucp is phased out as of FY2019 and they have generally stopped issuing and selling UCP

It's the army's "discount" multicam, because multicam itself (issued to afgh/iraq deployed units until recently) is in fact a pattented design that is too expensive to issue globally to replace acu/ucp.

You will stop seeing ACU/ ucp period by 2019, anyone wearing it after that has been under a rock for 2 yrs or is stoken valor
