Could you shoot someone from this distance?
>>34060734
Nice post. I'm glad you gave us a weapon and optic with this hypothetical.
with a large enough calibre rifle yes, maybe a good shooter with a .338 Lapua
>>34060734
No, my glock would explodes
>>34060734
Psssssht that's nuthin, kid
>>34060843
This, just teleport behind the target point blank
>>34060734
There are a lot of different distances in that webm, you need to specify.
>>34061028
If you can't infer the distance you're autistic.
>>34060734
fuck no. But I got an Uber guy I could call up who'd happily kick them off the cliff for some meth.
>>34060734
Hand me a set of binoculars and tell me the distance, and sure.
>>34060734
That looks like a little over 1 km. A good shooter could hit them with a decent bolt action rifle in 6.5mm Creedmoor or a comparable cartridge and a nice optic. Also a range finder would certainly help a lot.
>>34060734
if you don't specify what to use it would be very easy
>>34060734
first shot cold? with a deer rifle? nahhhhhh
couple hundred rounds at that spot with a .308?
sure.
but I've never had to hit anything that far or know how to use optics for a shot that long
I could hit em sure. just not right now first shot.
>>34060734
is it possible? yes
can i personally do it? no.
>>34060843
>>34060873
>ppsh, nothing personal komsomol...
>>34060734
>Could you shoot someone from this distance?
So long as I had some backyard practice to know where to set things, I'd be a big danger to them. But I'm just not that good of shot to make any promises.
I've shot out to 1100 yards once before with a scoped ak-74, but I really had to walk my shots out there after about 800 or so. It would have been really tough if there wasn't standing water making my impacts obvious at that distance.
I'd pick a gun that was better suited though if I had to try OP's challenge.

an unscoped WW1 bolt rifle of your choice
>>34063342
With enough rounds you can hit anything
>>34063372
You can't hit the sun.
>>34060734
EZ PZ with 408 CheyTac, probably wouldn't even leave supersonic before it kissed the hippie fuckers.
>>34060734
Nope
>>34063389
With enough rounds you can
>>34063471
No you can't.
>>34063481
Not with that attitude
>>34063481
>No you can't.
Why not? It depends on where you fire your shot from and how fast you are moving in relation to the sun.
>>34063537
There's no gun in the world that can shoot a bullet that far.
>>34063557
>There's no gun in the world that can shoot a bullet that far.
I think you mean to say: There's no gun in the world that can shoot a bullet that far. Yet.
>>34061119
muh dick
>>34063342
If I drink enough Finnish vodka the spirit of Spurdo Haya will guide me to my target
>>34060734
Yes but only after you watched this 102 parts series

>>34060734
Probably
>>34063557
You never said we had to be on Earth.
>>34063557
go to space, get within a mile of the sun (go at night so its not that hot) and fire. Its easy anon
>>34060734
Fuck yeah.
No wind.
Sky-profiled target.
1,000 or so yards.
>>34070240
Looks further than 1k to me.
750 meters. Easy with a .408.
>>34067552
>go at night so its not that hot
Kek'd pretty good at that
>>34063517
i wanna go swimming now damn
>>34060734
Yes. Quantity has a quality all its own. Tracers also help.
>>34060734
I could.
None of the rest of you could though.
Nothing personal.
>>34061091
Someone get this man a commission.
>>34060734
Without a doubt.
>>34073610
Are you implying that you are actually well practiced at shooting out that far?
I wouldn't doubt it based on the picture.
>>34073798
From the video given it looks like it's anywhere between 600 and 1000 yards and I've stretched that rifle out to that distance with consistent results.
