They are blanks because the brass of the case is one continuous piece with the extended brass sitting in the region of the barrel that the bullet normally occupies. The crimped tip holds in the powder that is inside the case.

when fired the gas expands, opens up the crimped tip, and generates a kickback like a real bullet, and a fireball like a real bullet, but the only thing leaving the barrel is a fireball.

Keep in mind, if you are a total goober. A blank can still kill a person. Some of them have wadding inside to keep the powder in place, and even at point blank range the expanding gasses have enough force to potentially kill.

its best to turn those assault blanks into your local constable, then pay your TV tax.

In Canada ours seem to have more of the end crimped than these. might be hard to find a C9/m240B/whatever your countries MAG is to fire these off, not to mention the BFA needs to be screwed on really tight for any fun.
