Still don't have cash tho so unless you want an AR-15 and a small amount of spending money from me you may be able to throw it on FAL Files. Century Inch rifles are kinda weird with price, some are worth normal FAL amounts and some are bottom of the barrel 600 dollars rifles, and I'm not 100% sure why since I'm more into metric. Worst that happens is you demill it and sell the receiver for 500 and then get something else out of the parts kit

I mean, yeah, I do want an actual HK91, and a SCAR 17 is still way up on my grail list, but at the time I had just sent my AK-74 kit out for building, bought a Glock 19 and CZ Scorpion, and was buying magazines for each by the literal dozen along with thousands of rounds of ammo in preparation for Hurricane Hillary. Sometimes you gotta make tough calls and cut a couple of corners.

Still not sure how I feel about the SCAR now. I still want one, but $3K before optics and accessories is an awful lot for a rifle I'll probably never take past 200 yards. I could literally buy a B&T APC9 and SBR it with a dedicated can in the same price range, or buy a FAL and a few other things with money left over.

Carbine. I have a Form 1 I'm waiting on; in retrospect it'd have been smarter to buy the pistol but at the time the stock kits were basically impossible to find. So far I like it; there's been some minor concerns here and there about ergonomics but there's aftermarket parts that fix that now. The mag feed lip issue people complained about is something I discovered overwhelmingly affects an earlier mold design that CZ never announced a switch from. Even then, there's aftermarket Lancer-style mags available if that's a concern.

I did not understand, they just seem like secondhand goods here. I am interested in see how well you imitate real russian ak! They are still very expensive though, almost 660 lari, I do not know what it is USD. Other better russian scopes like 1PN51 or 1PN93 sold, but harder to find and cost more.

It's not. I'll have to get the fake can off, remove the barrel nut, then cut down the barrel or replace it outright. Going from pistol to SBR, on the other hand, is literally just popping the pistol endplate off and dropping a stock on it. I'm not worried about the handguard; it's fairly easy to swap and I'm sure I'll find a buyer in no time. I'm gonna get an HBI M-LOK handguard and do mine up similar to the one in this pic; I've got the same can waiting on a Form 4 too.

Companies buy a lot of surplus, but often the cost involved vs just reselling US-made surplus means Soviet stuff tends to fall purely in the realm of collector's items, with price points that reflect that. Firearms in particular are heavily restricted as imports, especially full-auto guns. To get around that, a lot of people in this thread, myself included, end up buying "parts kits" made from chopped-up military guns and then reassembling the major components on a US-made replica receiver. Many of the replicas are quite good, too, so the difference can often be down to build workmanship, finish, and the lack of a "third pin" that would allow a full-auto fire control group to be used. If you ever decide you want to make some easy money and are willing to put up with the effort of going through customs, selling stuff like night vision could be very profitable. A couple of weeks ago, an Albanian guy popped up on AK Files with a pair of complete, working 1PN58 sets (tin case, canvas drop case, documentation, cam set, etc.). He listed them at about $575 USD each plus $100 USD shipping (roughly 1625 lari for item + shipping total) and he sold them in about a week or two.

1PN93 series optics pop up pretty much never, and fall firmly into the category of "for purchase by extremely serious collectors only." The only one I can find for sale is on an expired eBay auction, where the asking price was $1,800 USD before shipping.

At that price point, most people who actually intend to use their night vision optics will probably be buying American-made night vision instead. The 1PN34/1PN58/1PN51 tend to sell a bit more briskly simply because they're reasonably affordable for what they are and have broader appeal for clone builders.

Just got brand new VEPR AK 47

What is:
1.best all round muzzle break/device to get
2. Best pistol grip because only downside is factory grip kinda shit
3. Is it worth it to put m4 style adjustable stock on this or just stick to factory?


I have relatively good idea what I'm gonna do for optic, Mount, and eventually new lower hand guard device to accommodate a fore grip

I've owned two with the selector marks. You can take yours with only 2 selector marks and move the safety where the fun notch would be and they will still fire. The safety is disengaged regardless
