I guess you're right, 9/10ths is still a fraction. But slugs are nearly $1 a round, also to change a basic AR into one of these 2 calibers it's still close to the same peice as a saiga 12.

I've fired them both, and they are fun as he'll.

You definitely need to build the rifle around the rounds though. Good compensatory or muzzle breaks and recoil Springs are a must.

.50 Beowulf is only made my one company, so it is pricey. 458 is not saami so there is that.

A lot of bullshit here. If you reload .458 is sweet. And cheap to load. Has tons of projectiles you can load. I have a ar15 pistol variant with no muzzle break just a noveske pig type device. The heaviest hitter loads still have manageable recoil out of a 8 inch barrel. About like a 20g shotgun. My favorite hd tool. Really fun and pretty effective blaster.

As someone with an MKA1919, the mags do not cause shell deformation even after over a month.

I think it could possibly happen if you had the full mag inserted on a closed bolt, but since I sleep with it I tend to leave it with an open bolt with the mag inserted. That way I won't blow my nuts off accidentally, but I can close the bolt and have a 12 gauge ready to go instantly.
