Looking at a CCW gun. I have tried several of these out but looking for additional feedback.

Have experience with:
>Glock 26
>SIG 938
>Steyr M9
>Springfield XD

GRIP FUCKING ZONE
>>
>>34047044
I'm curious how do you rate the steyr M9?
>>
>>34047063
Its different. Took a while to figure out the sight picture but its smooth. I think its better than a glock out of the box.
>>
>>34047080
Hmmm I'm considering one of these same pistols. but I'm not as far into the process as you are yet. I like the look of the FN, and the shield but I think the steyr is my first choise at the moment.
>>
>>34047044

M&P9C.

Comparable in size to the M&P Shield. Can use the 10 round mags the shield does or a 12 round mag with a pinky extension (optional.)

You also get a small rail to attach a light or laser (or both in the case of the Viridian C5L, which will sit flush with the muzzle.)

Change out the trigger group for an Apex and maybe throw on some Truglo sights and you have what is in my opinion the best CCW out there right now.

See i actually really like the look of the walther pps, but the original pps has one of those dumb trigger-hinge mag releases, and i dont like the aesthetic changes of the pps m2 which has a proper push button release. The original PPS is Steyr M9ish.
>>
>>34047185
Can it take full size mags from other MP's?
>>
VP9Sk just came out, barring a random departure from its big brother, it would probably have a better trigger than any other sub compact 9. Of course you'd have to not mind paddles

PPS vs PPS M2
>>
>>34047194

Yes.

Xgrip even makes an extension / adapter so you don't have this weird gap between the grip and the bottom of the full sized magazines if you want.
>>
>>34047216
BUT ITS 1.3 INCHES WIDE. FUCKING TRUCK NOT A GUN.
>>
Love my Shield. I dont think it can be beat by any other single stack nine in or around its price range. I think they are only like $300 now too.

I tried a subcompact XD, a Glock 42, and a Glock 43 before getting the Shield. Have not looked back.

>9c can take Shield mags
Interesting considering the Shield is single-stack.

OP I my CCW is a Shield and I really like it. I'd consider a 9c in the winter but a Shield literally disappears IWB even in light-ass summer clothes.
>>
>>34047223
Oh Walther, you make me want your pistols but your logo looks like something of a 3 year olds block set.

can confirm, looks stupid but is very comfy to shoot
>>
I say go for a G26 or HK P30SK LEM 9mm
S&W shield 9mm if you want something thinner
G26 is reliable, mags & sights are common
I like the ameriglo w orange front
P30SK is ergonomic af and has nice stock sights
the LEM trigger gives you the extra safety of an exposed hammer if you decide to carry appendix but has the same trigger pull every time
>>
I really like my Steyr S9, it's the true subcompact steyr, just a little smaller than a glock 19, but not quite as small as a baby glock. It even fits the pinky.
>>
g43 never look back
>no weird articulating trigger
>tons of holsters available
>aftermarket shit if you want it
>>
>>34047284

There are 10 round mags that the 9c can take, I assumed they used the same without really considering the shield was single stack.

I stand corrected, sorry anon.
>>
>>34047370
p30 sk LEM is tight butthole
>>
>>34047044
Don't forget about the SR9c, I took that over the M&Ps and the Glocks. It's a pretty thin pistol with good recoil mitigation.
>>
I can't decide between a P99c, a PPS, a Shield, and a P2000sk/VP9sk.
The shield is cheap as shit right now, but I prefer paddle mag releases. I'm also not sure how big of a difference the width of a single stack will make compared to a double stack.

I love the P99, but not paddle releases. I am leaning towards the original xd subcompact. The big disadvantage of most rear sights is they dont have the squared off profile needed for injured reloading drills. Having those squared off sights let you catch the sight on a belt if you need to rack one-handed

Only handguns I have experience with are 1911, Sig P320 compact, and various revolvers. Next week I'm buying a Kahr CM9 for daily carry. Smallest 7rd picket 9mm.
>>
>>34049766

I wish they made these in single stack.
>>
>>34047044
I personally went with the S&W Shield, it fits well in my hand and the controls are flush which I really like and I like the trigger break and reset. The only other compact I was looking at was a Kahr PM9 but it cost about 200 more than the Shield.
>>
Just a tip: If your pistol is suddenly producing a shitload of smoke when cycling, fully cleaning out the barrel might help. I'm talking about
>remove the barrel
>run a wire brush soaked in cleaning fluid of your choice like ballistol or hoppes through barrel several times
>run several wet patches through barrel
>plug one end of barrel with rolled up patches
>fill entire barrel with cleaning fluid
>plug other end of barrel
>leave plugged barrel in sealed container, optionally add cleaning fluid to container on outside of barrel
>>
There's the Sig P938 then there's....everything else.
>>
>>34047044

>>
>>34052550
>sig ever
dropped
>>
>>34052550
See I love the 938 but its single stack and sooo much more expensive than the others. That and there is no full size pistol that it shares parts in common with.
>>
Not OP here, I'm also looking for a sub compact 9mm. Looking into the Kahr CM9 because I'm a manlet and it seems like it's the smallest by a good margin. Anyone know of anything else even smaller or would .380 be the way for me to go?

I have the old version, Daewoo dh40 in 40sw. Its not a subcompact, its heavy and has a low capacity comparedto other pistols that size. The triple action is nice though. It allows you to fire with aingle action pull though the hammer is down
>>
>>34053482
I have a video about it on my youtube ozarkmtnranger

Honest question:
Why does anyone want to CC a compact single stack pistol when you could just get a 10mm

what you need to do is figure out what you specifically want. you have caliber, but what about action or price range. Find that out and you can trim down your list to 2-3, then come back
it'll porbably come down to what you specifically can find, like your lgs has a M&P sheild for a bit cheaper then an XD, or the sig p938 comes with an extra mag, ect
>>
>>34052959
sig p238, if youre ok with SAO
its probably the smallest pistol I own thats not a potmetal jennings, raven arms or an old .25 auto colt
>>
>>34054803
How uncomfortable would a pocket carry 10mm be to shoot?
>>
>>34055901
Not really worried about price. The purchase is going on my CC and im just going to pay it off. Its not a race gun, ccw pistols for the most part go for less than $750
