you can still get a T53 for $150-$200 in most places, since a lot of them have real beat up and ugly stocks. for basically any other mosin you're looking at $250+

So you could have made a $600+ profit and bought an AR or a Glock with it, but instead all you got was to write an edgy reply on 4chan.

Kek indeed.

A single gun being sold at lower than average price doesnt make the gun worth what you paid. And its a crappy chinese clone.

Those bolts are in the white. There's no replating to be done; if it's discolored it's corrosion or just a stain. Try solvent, followed by fine steel wool although the wool will scuff it and you'll need to buff the dullness out.

The cheap nugget boat has sailed. It sailed years ago.

Just get on the K31 as soon as you can and buy all the ammo you can find, it's better in every way.

>>

They aren't 100% new, they use an unidentified amount of old stock / refinished parts.

Seen them for sale in Australia (kek) at $1000+, though you can probably cut that in half for first world prices.
>>
>>34046394

What qualifies as decently affordable 7.62x54R
>>
>>34051359
With ISIS and the shit that went down in Ukraine, it pretty much took all the 54r surplus.
>>
>>34051355
$899 for sale here in the US. Fucking why? All it looks like they did was refinish the stock, put a new barrel on it, and I assume modify the extractor to take a rimless cartridge.
>>

A nugget under 100$ is impossible to find, but if you look hard enough you can still find them in the 200-300$ range around on the internet. Find one closest to you and make time to visit.

Considering FIME Group has exclusive rights to everything Molot coming in, they're gone for good.

How do you even sell a gun online anyway?
Bought a nugget and a box of ammo, never fired it because i found out afterwards my shooting range is retarded about rifle fire and I'm too lazy to drive miles away to find another location.
Just taking up space now.

I think it's Polish but I don't know. I bought all this years ago. Don't shoot surplus ammo anymore though, I just load my own.
>>
Since the topic of buying guns is sort of relevant to this thread I called up a local gun shop asking to arrange an FFL transfer and gave them the name of the site I was planning on buying from and they asked for my name and said they would get in contact with the site. This was about an hour ago and the site I'm buying from lists them as an FFL dealer that they've dealt with in the past. So my question is do I wait for a call back from fun shop or do I continue with placing my order? This is my first time buying guns online. All other guns I've bought have been at gun shows so I'm sort of new to the whole FFL thing.
>>
>>34046394
2014.

>>34049025

It's surface rust from handling. You can clean it off with metal polish. Flitz, nevr-dull, etc.

>>34051359
Any remaining russian surplus is getting eaten up in wars, thanks to Ukraine Syria/ISIS and friends.

New manufacture 54r from wolf runs about $0.47 USD/round on the net.
>>
I'm dead set on getting a Nugget, but many comment that they form bad habits in beginners. I think I will start with plinking using a .22lr or something of the like (cheap ammo).
Should I go bolt-action to practice for this kind of action (and sell it after obtaining that Moist), or will a semi-auto work fine?
>>
>>34053541

The "problem" is that a big caliber can get you into the habit of flinching or anticipating the shot, which will obviously throw off your aiming. If you're brand new to guns, a 22lr is always a fantastic idea. They're cheap, the ammo is cheap, and they have basically zero recoil (thus don't form flinching habits).

You can practice with bolt action or semi auto; it's entirely up to your preferences. For semi-auto, you should go with a Marlin 60 or a Ruger 10/22. Both can be had for in the $150-$190 range brand new.
>>
I bought a very nice one on Gunbroker a month ago for 145.00. I have a C&R so it shipped right to me for 20 bucks. No tax no transfer fee. C&R is the way to go and buy online. I think it was only like 20 or 30 bucks for 3 years for a C&R FFL.
>>
>>34053541
How about getting a .22lr Nugget? Yes, they do exist: https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/719004479/Firearms/Rifles/Other+Rifles/N%2APOLISH+WZ+48+22+LR+TRAINING
>>
You can still find cosmoline packed milsurp Mosins for about 239 but I prefer to buy from pawnshops for less then that over gunbroker. Bonus, no 3 hour cosmoline cleaning ordeal and you can see what your getting.
>>
>>34053313
bump for interest
>>
>>34049745
Actually yes. I'm not even mad bout this. Where can I get one?
>>
>>34046394
What state do you live in? A place near me in AZ has them for $225, I haven't seen them cheaper than that (when you factor in shipping fees and FFL).

The only way you'll find one near $100 is if your state allows direct purchases and someone just wants to get rid of theirs because they've almost never shot it.

Hands down the M28/30 M39. Finnish Mosins are a way better investment than one a 91/30. 91/30s are a gamble.
>>
>>34053313
Continue placing the order. It won't ship until the site verifies an ffl to send it to.
>>
Classic firearms has some nice Finnish Mosins but you do pay a premium for them. I believe they are 319

That'll take a lot of luck.
But I'd still pick one up even if prices aren't artificially low any more. They're a nice rifle and a lot of fun to shoot. I love the action on them.
>>
Thank you for enlightening me.

I could get a Savage Arms 64F or a Marlin 795 pretty easily. Ruger 10/22 is overpriced and in Canada.
