I want a 50 cal hand cannon. Which should I get?

if you ever want to go hunting with it, get the 500. I know a couple deagle owners and neither of them would take theirs out in the woods in a million years.

I'd say the best .50 cal handgun is the Smith .460. That way you can shoot .460, .454, .45 Colt, or .45 ACP

I used to have a .500, they're not that fun. The recoil is ridiculous and can be actually painful if you run hot loads. Just get a deagle, they're a much better choice for a fuckoff range toy

I disagree whole heartedly.

However, (and this is coming from someone who likes heavy loads), 9 mm is most fun to shoot. I can go to the lgs and get 100 rounds of 9mm for less than $25. 100 rounds of .50 is what, $150-$200?
That takes a lot of fun out of trying to shoot regularly. It might make a fun gun AFTER, you've got your 9mm race gun, CC gun and a carbine. Realistically though the .50's are too big and heavy to carry much, unless you OC where everyone excepts bears are a real threat, and it's too low a capacity for shtf. If you want to hunt, you should get the longer barrel.
I'd still take the revolver over the deagle though.
