So many things it's impossible to list them all.
I cannot enjoy a firearm (I don't mean use, I mean ENJOY) unless it has some wired quirk or cool history.
That being said, here is the first shit that comes to mind.

A modern, sleek, .357 magnum chambered revolver, preferably break top.
I feel like we don't have to go full cyberpunk like a Rhino, but we also can upgrade from those ugly ass smiths and Rugers.
Something akin to a break top medusa fits the bill perfectly if you need a mental image.

A modern production toggle action firearm (NO, NOT, I repeat NOT a Luger. They're too reliant on fine tolerances; I believe that a simplified toggle action would be excellent) that uses double stack magazines and takes advantage of the lack of a slide to make different barrel lengths and profiles an at thing.
Also, it would have to have an accelerator system that made an integral suppressor a feasible thing.

A semi automatic Garand food eating pistol.
That's right, I want a hand-pingerator that eats M2 ball and spits pings when it's empty.

I want metal framed pocket pistols that ARENT browning locking and use bottlenecks rounds (think of the possibilities of 5.56x19, 5.45x18, 7.62 tokerev, and many many more hitting the market outside of ratty surplus/as actual rounds!)
If you want a mental image, go for a cross between the Seburo pistols in GiTs SAC and the makarov PSM

I'd like to see the return of bayonet lugs and military profile stocks to fudd rifles, as well as excellent adjustable irons and stripper clip guides.
There is no fuckin' excuse as to why all these 5.56 bolt guns don't have clip guides; they'd never have to buy another mag again considering how much 5.56 comes packed on clips these days!
You could even mount the guides at an angle so you could still have your scopes and shit.
It would take some engineering but it would be rewarding.

I would like to see a rifle-like trajectory from a pistol cartridge, maybe like a .50ae necked down to .25 or so. I don't care if it has to be single stack, modern handguns are easy to reload.

I have nothing against bottlenecked cartridges on principle but those two in particular are terrible. 7.62x25mm Tokarev and .357 SIG are cake but 5.45x18mm is comparable to .25 ACP.
