Thanks man, it's a 1941 dated Kokura Type 99 Long. The bayonet has a .30 bullet hole through the blade and the scabbard has scorch marks on it. I wish I knew where it was used..

Yeah, there was a change for over 5 round capacity shotguns moved to a restricted category, but like 90% of the imports of them were the 5 round version anyway.
The 5 round and under lever shotguns were put in category B but every gun owner here has atleast an cat A&B licence anyway.
Still a shit move, but at least i can still own the damn thing.

Where do y'all find most of your older milsurps? Cabela's is the only chain store that sells used guns, but their "library" is usually just overpriced 22s and $600 SKSs. I've been to a couple local gun shows, and they are either too small or are just stuffed with AR variants and mall ninja crap.

I did see a great condition 71 Mauser at a gun show, and I regret not snatching it up considering how rarely you see something cool in person.

Gunbroker, pawn shops, gun shows. Gun shows are very hit-or-miss, but you can find great stuff. If I wasn't saving for auctions I'd have bought 3 or 4 guns at the latest show. And I could have easily spend a couple thousand at the previous one if I had it.
