Shoot them both. Pick the one that feels the best.

I shoot a 1911 significantly better than most pistols. So I bought one, practice with, and am very confident I will get hits when it counts.

Buy the gun (rifle, pistol, shotgun, whatever) that feels the best and most importantly shoots the best for YOU.

You will already be ahead of the game and already have some confidence.

I can't tell you how many times some newbie is out on the gun range with his new purchase and can barely hit paper. I let them shoot my 1911, 686, Hi Power, and HK45.

They almost always shoot one significantly better than the others. Now guess which one they wished they had.

I'll take their gun and show them that it shoots fine and put 4 or 5 rounds in a nice group on their target, but they still want to shoot the gun that they shot better.

Don't buy a brand buy what works best for you.

Fun fact: Almost all of them shoot the 686 best

But V1 LEM is great. Similar to, but more refined than Glock with OEM- and NY1

There is absolutely no reason to buy a Glock if you can afford an HK equivalent. The P30L is better in every single measure.

The only Glocks worth owning, and that's simply because there isn't another practical alternative, are the Glock 20 and, to a lesser extent, Glock 40, although if you want a 10mm for hunting (and capacity isn't a deciding factor), the Sig P220 10mm would probably be my choice over a Glock 40.

Just to add to this, I like the USP safety, but I found that the P30 safety rubbed the inside of my thumb in an uncomfortable hot spot. Try it out on the range. You'll notice within a few shots if it's going to be an issue for you. If it is, just get a model without the safety. The LEM is pretty good, but nothing wrong with DA/SA either. I prefer LEM on the USP, but it's a toss-up for me on the P30 because the P30's LEM is set up for the trigger to return a little farther forward than I prefer. Try them all out, though. The LEM trigger is a really good concept that is also practical.
