Is 22 magnum a viable weapon?
>>34026372
yes
Unideal but perfectly serviceable especially in a revolver where being rimmed isn't a detriment.
Get a PMR-30 if you want to use 22mag. One shot might not drop Jamal or Tyrone, but 10-30 probably will.

.22mag?
Sure, people post about their FN 5.7s all the time here.

If you were trying to make a point you've failed miserably.

Model 48 with 6 inch barrel is no slouch.
I'm sure there are other makes with longer barrels.
>>34026372
Normal .22 mag is trash out of short barrels.
For it's size class, .32 ACP does everything better.
Really makes all those pocket .22 mags seem fairly questionable

Does anyone make a pistol in 22 hornet? I imagine the velocity goes to shit in a pistol length barrel if they do.

3" barrels (4 inch in an automatic) give you reliable expansion with quality 22 mag hollow points.

What's insane about it?
I have a Marlin .22 mag bolt gun I haven't even fucking shot yet because ammo is such a bitch to find.
>>34026427
It can be distracting in a gunfight.
>>34026877
those raging hornets are rare as fuck though taurus stopped manufacturing them a while ago i think. I dig the grip even if it may be a bit tacky
>>34028407
try Walmart down here the ONLY stores that carry regular amounts of .22 MAG is Walmart of all places
>>34026372
No .22 magnum will slamfire when you load it
>>34026372
sure, if you are attacked by a groundhog
>>34028407
Fantastic expansion and penetration considering the size
