The amount of videos Internet of people failing to get their safeties off and getting killed is staggering, sure it's lack of training but a safety is an obstacle you don't need when faced in a life or death situation.

If you carry a gun, it would be pertinent to practice manipulating it. Whenever I shoot my AR, I don't even have to register having to put it back on safe when I'm coming off target or conducting a reload. I don't have to think about decocking my handgun when coming off target and it's the same as using a manual safety on a pistol.

Like I said, comes down to practice, which we all lack in one way or the other. On top of that add stress and the sheer adrenaline shot of being in a life or death situation and you're probably gonna make a mistake.

I can put my AR in fire and safe all day at the range. A handgun in a struggle is complet,y different. But have it your way, I personally won't be impeded by a safety in a carry gun.

I carry DA/SA and I think the reason why "glockleg" is a thing is because it's the predominant striker fired pistol that is popular with law enforcment. Glocks are used by an overwhelming majority of cops so there's more documented cases of Glocks being used in ND's compared to say an M&P or P320.

There is nothing particularly wrong about Glocks shooting into people, it's that there is a large case of cops being retards that can't into proper firearms training/safety.
