I still don't understand the diff of a stormbolter vs combi bolter. Both are double hole double mag but there's some shit about how they function differently, like apparently at a certain range the stormbolter fires 2 rounds but the combi fires one.

They were designed back in the 80s and while there has been some aesthetic transformations it hasn't deviated too far from that judge dredd inspired origin. Plus as hokey as they look they are damn iconic and a lot more so than Master chief's MA5 or most other sci fi guns. The only other that has a stand-out reputation is the Pulse gun and that's also a boxy as hell obnoxious looking thing. The guardsmen's lasguns look better and while they are much too long I like the tau's rifles.

But at the end of the day I am just glad bolters are not yet another fucking AR15 knockoff
