What's a good platform to get on if i want wood furniture? I was looking at the PTR but can't seem to find wood for it anywhere anymore.

Other thought is just get an AR10 and have one of the guys making AR15 kits do a tweaked job, but I don't know how much I'd like it as I'm not a huge fan of the AR platform anyway.

Thoughts on this for $699? Wanting to get something in 308, have been torn between a PTR and building an AR10. Other than shooting paper this would occasionally be used for hog control.

I'd like a source on that because again, I believe that's the case with every single fucking semiauto FAL (besides commonwealth). I doubt DSA would be in business if the were making something that could get every buyer, let alone themselves fucked over by the ATF.

Wasn't an FAL specifically, it was an AR with an M16 trigger group that a dude took the range and tried to use in auto, got hit for MG parts. You'll probably be fine just like everyone else is so long as you aren't retarded, but there is a precedent for it. He didn't have a 3rd pin lower, just the auto safety. He was getting hammer follow at the range but sometimes it would double tap. Same case as if you put a type A in an FAL. Just don't click it to auto at the range you'll be fine

I have a dpms oracle 308 havent put a troy free float rail on it and haven't even shot it. Kind of want to sell it and buy another lr308/ar10 but it seem like they all have issues. Also dont feel like spending over $1,500
