I have one, I like it a lot. It occosianally strikes light on white box winchester ammo, though. Once I go through a few boxes of other ammos and confirm it's just on the winchester ammo, I may carry it. Or maybe try and get it fixed/buy another. As for the Tikka it was the lightweight model in .300 Win Mag, even with a muzzle brake it was downright unpleasant to shoot, not to mention hard as hell on the optics and even if I can afford it I really can do without a money pit. Also I bought it at a time when I had good reason to think I was gonna move to a place with a long distance range but finally didn't and I don't hunt big game so it felt useless to me anyway. Plus I'm a lefty so not a big fan of milsurp bolt action and in the end I did realize that all in all I wasn't a huge fan of bolt action in general and not much of a precision shooter either. I'm all about casual semi-auto rifle shooting and shotguns.

I expected guns to be many things as a hobby but I never expected it would be a journey of self-discovery of sorts.

My XDS was fantastic. My brother's pimped out Mod 2 with a PRP trigger was really nice as well. I normally hate grip safeties but Springfield's design is a hell of a lot better than on the 1911 and doesn't punish you for a high grip.

Well for starters I wanted to do "something" that would make it stand out from so many others without permanently messing it up, and got inspiration when I watched enemy at the gates and Stalingrad at the same time. I did find that after adding the burlap, the rifle became exponentially more comfortable, and the added burlap to the stock somehow made a world of a difference in recoil, probably because if covers sharp edges. I recently redid the wrapping so it's more reliably fastened
