GOD DAMMIT

I took a look under the hood for the first time for a detailed inspection.(i got it last night around 1am in a old riverboat turned house, the lighting was poor).

Uh thats not really how AK's work bud. I can tell you're new to them, I would seriously advise you just flip the c39v2 asap and get a WASR. I had a c39v2 and it started beating itself to crap in about 2000 rounds. They are better than RAS47's though admittedly but still not up to snuff

Just ignore it, because it'll be back the next time you shoot a few rounds. It's not really hurting anything.
It'll crack off in chunks with with a few light taps on a sharp pick if it gets a little thicker. But like I said, pointless and a waste of time.

Try to get some WWII ammo.

I had my universal extractor shear off while shooting steel cased ammo, i noticed the casings really weren't being slung out but i just figured the chamber was dirty. It started jamming the dirtier it got, so i switched up and shot the WWII stuff and the gun didnt care if it had an extractor or not.

There is gas still caught in the barrel when the bolt opens and the gas will push the casing out.

Well idk how my buddy did this but i took him to Sevierville tn to trade his c308 to a guy with a yugo ak.

He traded the fellow who works at some munitions plant just on the other side of the state line a C308 and a few mags for a Yugo M72 RPK that had a nodak receiver and ribbed barrel and basicly a parts kit gun that was very well put together.

How much is a Yugo M72 RPK worth exactly because my buddy wants to trade it again to try and get something better its a good gun and all very accurate but he already has 3 x39 aks

Have you run any other brass case stuff through your carbine? I've got a '43 Inland I shot for the first time last month. Chugged through a box of PPU and Remington no problem. Remember that .30 Carbine is a fairly low-pressure round, so a shitty powder charge in cheap steel case stuff is going to make it far more failure prone than most calibers.

It works pretty slick for me, but I've changed and prefer weight reduction to having a scope.
I still peg my 400 yard targets pretty regular with irons. It's surprising considering how hard it is to see them.

Alright, so that's one mount that deals with the issues I mentioned (hinged top cover, removal of optic / mount for field stripping, and receiver height).

I'll give you that, but it still adds a third of a pound to the rifle, and increases the width of the receiver. Meaning if you mounted your ACOG or something you're still adding 167 grams more than the guy with a gun that has an designed-in top rail.

You might get a little weight savings with a 1-4 or something by not needing an elevated cantilever mount and being able to use standard rings, but not enough to make up that 167 grams.
