Francophile is the gun equivalent of anime weeaboo.
I know he has collection to finish but the has to stop.
Also add 10% buyers premium on that because thats how RIA works.

Isnt ammo like, $1 a round?

who is willed to pay 13k for a M56?
you could get them for less then 150€ over here in europe, deactivated tough

While it's ugly as hell, I'm looking forward to seeing some shooting vids with it and watching him weeb out over it will be mildy entertaining as well

>>

Subgun works.

>>33996804
There's no real commercial source for 7.65mm Long anywhere, not in North America, not in Europe, not anywhere else.

Supposedly 7.65mm Pedersen is interchangeable (no idea if that's true), but how much of that is available is another question.
French surplus 7.65mm Long is generally unreliable garbage, collectors only, don't bother shooting.

What Ian would have to do is really to order a bunch of 7.65mm Long brass from Starline, and handload it. He should probably ask Mike Beliveau about loading, I think he found that some handloading books are actually incorrect about proper loads, as he made some of his own.
>>
>>33996895
People don't really care all that much about French guns, also the 7.65mm Long cartridge is pretty much entirely dead and obsolete, you can't go pick it up at a store and go blast with a Mas38 like with a MAC11 or Uzi, which is in 9mm Luger, you want to shoot the Mas38 you need to handload and reload.
>>
>>33996734
Neat. I've always thought that a MAS-38 would be fun to shoot, considering they're full size subguns chambered in a round comparable to .32 ACP (supposedly fires a 77 grain bullet at only ~1150 FPS).
>>
>>33997011
Yeah it's basically .32ACP +P, recoil would just be like a vibration or something.
>>
>>33996957
Yes, 7.65 Longue was developed from .30 Pedersen. The only difference is .30 Pedersen has a heavier bullet. I doubt there is any .30 Pedersen left on the market.

Ian most likely went in the group buy for 7.65 Longue and 11mm Gras. I know I did even though I don't have a gun in either caliber right now.

>super jealous of Ian right now
>>
>>33997119
Unless those were modern reloads of 7.65mm I wouldn't bother shooting them, the surplus really is fucking awful.
>>
>>33996804
It's basically the same ammo designed for the Pederson device.
>>
>>33997132
Shit. I left out part of that sentence. The group buy is for 7.65 Longue and 11mm Gras DIES from Lee.

Kek. I spent half as much for both the 11mm Gras and the 7.65 dies.
>>
>>33997119

>>
>>33998621
Yeah, if I had waited I could have gotten in on them. But this was 2 years ago. I bought a fuck ton of custom dies that I had no use for at the time (and still mostly have no use for now) to prepare for the future.

>What Ian would have to do is really to order a bunch of 7.65mm Long brass from Starline, and handload it
Let's be honest we all know Ian and he will do excatly that. He'll spend evening giggling to himself reloading ammo happily as he waits for his new gun.
>hi and thanks to tuining in to another video on fuck you Carl and your shitty guns i've got frog subgun for cheap

Some pdf (in french, but machine translation works pretty well) for those who want to reload their 7,65 long.
They suggest modifying .32 S&W cases with tools.

That shit sounds bothersome, it'd be easier to just buy from Starline, you can certainly afford to buy a a good few hundred casings from there if you can afford to spend $6000 on a machinegun.

Speaking of Ian.

I can't remember what that video was and what the pistol was. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Thanks to Ian i now have boner for left handed sa80 prototype he showed.

Honestly the thing is pretty fugly looking. It looks exactly like something chechens made out of scrap.

For that money I would have got something not chambered in an extinct cartridge, like that tigr or Ar-70.

The SA80 prototypes were atrocities in his own words though.

Also I like the occasional video of MAC's because he'll sometimes show some old pre-import-ban rifle like a Type-56 .223 or something, something you never see people talk much about.

Overall Ian's content is way better, of course.

Do you shoot a M1935 or a Mas38? If the latter, how hard is it to find magazines? That's almost a bigger question on my mind than ammo.

I guess that answers my question.
How are those to shoot? I imagine recoil must be almost nothing at all.

Pretty much, I have a 35A as well, and they make my Colt Huntsman seem vicious.

Still, they are stupidly small, and would be sweet concealment pieces if they were not shooting spitballs.

The only real reason I like them and the 1892 Ordinance revolver, is that they are absurdly well made, and stupidly accurate. As in a blind pig could cut a ragged hole with one.

But for real use?
I carry a CZ-75.

Have some size comp with the '44 1911A1

I have had a 36, a 44, and still have a 49..
Rifles (for the most part) are a hell of a lot easier to load for, you use 6.5 Swede for cases, and then use 7,62 NATO load data, fudging toward the lower end. (Not that it is really needed, as they're stupidly overbuilt, but it helps case life as you can just trim and neck size.).

If you get an auto, grab the (I forget the number, but they are CCI primers with thick cups) as with common primers and a MAS 44 or 49 you will get doubles or the occasional "whee full ten rounds" (which is still not bad at all. About like a mix of a M1918A2 HI and LO rate. I guessed it to be around 550 RPM. REALLY easy to keep on target if you ever shot a giggle-gun. )

The MAS autoloaders have massive firing pins and heavy falls, so you can use thick primers. Shit will be fine.

Stupidly overbuilt, wonderfully made. Odd since "Lee" was a Yank who had problems selling his wares in the U.S.
