Rhodies had barely anything standard issue. They were under international blockade so they used whatever they could get their hands into. You mostly see them with FALs because they got them semi regularly from ZA but they also used G3s, AKs, RPDs, sterlings, uzis, hi powers, cz 75s, those POS mambas...
as far as knives IDK desu but given the circumstances and the fact that most people fighting for rhodesia were mercenaries and vets from all around, I would adventure to say everyone brought their own? dont quote me on that

Odd question, but you might know. Not too long ago, there was a thread about a Rhodesian helo pilot who went mercenary, and someone recommended a book about mercenaries that featured him heavily. Can you remember what it was called? I can't even remember the pilot's name.

Also, someone recommended an autobiography by a former selous scout, and I was wondering if anyone remembered the name of that one, too.

I'm from Missouri and I've actually met a guy in his 40s who was an African truck driver from Rhodesia. Didn't realize it at the time or I would of spoken to him more.
