Glock website says the G40 is 2.56 oz lighter than the 20. Can anyone confirm?

I have the G41 and I really like it. Side by side to the 21 it is thinner and feels lighter to me.

But all of the videos I have watched show the G40 just as wide and longer so I don't know how it is lighter.

I really cant imagine it is lighter than the 20, not that I own a 20 but it is very much a heavy pistol, in all seriousness the way I look at it is that a 6 inch barrel double stack 10mm gives you about as close to a rifle as you can get in a semi practical sidearm, and the 40mos lets you mount a red dot like mine so you can even get pretty practical 50m engagement with it if you shoot a little slow, in the end the 20 is probably more practical but I love my 40 and would recommend it, though really unless you want to handload your 10mm you probably wont get that much use out of that barrel length.

I can't stand red dots on pistols, tried it on my 41 and it took to long to acquire (not to mention the flashlight washed out the dot). The only thing I thought it was better for was rapid fire, once you found the dot that is.

Tried my friends g19 and he had the raised sights which made it easier to find the dot. But I may as well get trijicon's night iron sights at that point.

I feel they take to much to make them work as intended.

Also did you have to put an aftermarket recoil spring in yours? I read online that you should get a stiffer one to keep from loosing too much chamber pressure before the bullet has exited. Any credence to this?

I went with the supressor height tritiums from trijicon and the dual illuminated trijicon rmr with the 9.0moa dot, the light can still wash it out a bit but I mostly expect to be using it with the ir lase and night vision anyway if it is too dark, but that sight combination really helps with acquisition, that and practice.

What about the recoil spring in the 40? Ever heard of having to replace the factory spring to get more consistent pressures and velocities? The article I read said the Glock was the worst in terms of consistency until he put a new spring in. I'm mainly getting it for weight and capacity reasons, just wondering if i should get the spring.
