how many seconds does it take to get a loaded firearm in your hand(s) at home/apartment ?

standing in front of my lockbox it takes about 10 seconds to open, get gun & magazine, insert & rack the slide

then depending on where i am & what i'm doing it can take another 10 seconds to get to lockbox, unless i'm in bathroom then i'm doomed

sometimes i keep a revolver in a gun rug close by that takes about 2 seconds
>>
I am constantly playing with a firearm while inappropriately rubbing myself.

I am also a godly man. Praise Christ!
>>
>>33993507
less than 2 probably. you got kids op? live in a cuck state?

>>

>gun in hall closet
>gun behind dryer
>gun under kitchen sink
>gun under bathroom sink
>34 guns in bed room

2-7 seconds in any room i go in

no i think i live in a low-threat environment, fairly safe part of town, good apartment complex, but the neighborhood mix is changing for the worse

why even live there ? why not move somewhere safer ?

Eh probably about 5. Loaded pistol next to bed, just have to unholster it. I also carry a little 380 around the house me, I usually just set it somewhere close enough to be within arms reach at any given time
>>
>>33993507
Ehh probably 3 to 5 seconds. My glock is always loaded and ready to go in the nightstand right next to my bed.

Probably 5 or less. Roll out of bed, and open up AR case. Pull out AR, and turn on the red dot and I'm ready.

>>
>>33993507
Realistically? I have the semi bad habit of leaving my carry gun sitting on the couch, I keep one in the nightstand, and one laying on a Pip-Boy case next to my bed. The only place I don't have a loaded gun within immediate reach is the bathroom, and I plan on fixing that with some cheapo niggergat just in case it starts to rust.
>>
>>33993524
standard practice here.
>>
>>33993507
>in bed
Less than 2 seconds
>in bedroom but not asleep
2 seconds for sidearm, 4 for my SCAR
>in living room
2 seconds
>in garage
Turn in any direction and I have a gun
>in car
2 seconds, glove box and in a little crevice in the driver's side door
>in bathroom
2 seconds, more to put pants/clothes on
>daughters' room
4 seconds

Easy

I have this thing where I'll go downstairs for a snack and bring an AK or something just because I love my guns too much to be away from them for more than a few moments... I suspect I'm not the only one that does this on here.

But yeah, I've always got a few guns laying around. I have a safe but that's just to protect the bulk of my collection if thieves break in. It's just my brother and I living here so I really have no reason to keep home defense guns locked away.
>>
Hmmmmm. Probably 5-10 seconds to get my GLAWK out of it's case and loaded. Alternately I could grab the Mossy and get a round or two into it in that time.
>>
>>33994335
Yeah my AR comes with me in whatever room I'm in. Glock is usually there too
>>
3 in the tube under the dresser to my right so I'll say 3 seconds at full panic.

Whenever I'm at my bed or near my computer, have my HD AR handy that I just need to charge for 30 rounds.

Walk around the house with my Glock 19 loaded just as if I'm out and about.

One to three seconds. I always keep a gun on my person or near me with a magazine in it at least.

I'm not kidding, I sleep with a gun under one of my pillows with a rifle beside my bed.
>>
I always have a loaded gun nearby. Loaded AK sits on the wall waiting, USP is under my pillow and I ccw my shield all the time when not at home. My AR sits behind my door and that's also loaded.
>>
As long as it takes to grab my shotgun and flip the safety.

A crazy, wonderful idea

Dakimura pillows

Of gun girls

With a pocket in the middle

To store your raifu in

So you can sleep with your raifu waifu comfortably AND be immediately ready in 2 seconds to defend against gnomes invading your home

EuroPEON here.

5 seconds to get up & get a key.
10 seconds to get out of the room, down the hall.
5 seconds to open the locked ammo closet and grab a few stripper clips lying in plain view.
10 seconds to open the gun safe and grab the Vz58V and load it with (at least) the first stripper clip.

Considering I'm coming from the far room and have to run towards the stairs to get to the gun safe, I'm toast by most potential threats. But such is life in soviet europe.

(Why the Vz? Because it's the quickest to load thanks to the stripper clips. Keeping loaded mags has questionable legal standing.)

>>
>>33993507
>Loaded pistol on my desk next to my bed.

Probably about 5 seconds at the maximum. Maybe 10 if it's pitch black in my room.
>>
>>33994190
Assuming a bed scenario, this is probably pretty close for me. Add 4 seconds for inexperience, slapping a mag in, charging, and safety off if those last three are a factor.

Maybe shave a couple s off because I'm night owl as fuck.
>>
If I'm home, it'll be loaded in a corner of the room I'm in, and the rooms in my house are not very big. 1-5 seconds.
In the car, it's under a rug in the passenger seat, loaded. 1-5 seconds.
If I'm at work, it's in the safe, take me anywhere between 10 seconds to a minute to get to that. If I'm further away than that, I might be better off just running.
If I'm at somebody else's place, I'm likely not in any shooting shape in the tops 10 minutes it takes me to get home.
>>
>>33997694
Which country? What is the problem with the loaded magazines?
>>
less than 2 to the 12 gauge
less than 4 to the 9mm
>>
2 seconds for the .40 by the PC/Bed (above bed, real sword) (side above bed, real short spear) (cat with claws on bed)
4 seconds in bathroom (gotta wipe)
2 seconds for 9mm in kitchen/back door
2 seconds 12 gauge and mini machete at front door
2 seconds AR-15 in spare bedroom
2 seconds AR-15 in basement
4 seconds for .380 in garage (spider webs)

Oh and I like to put nice classic firearms on display.. that work and are loaded high up on the walls.

I hide my Glock in a box of Raisin Bran so if nigs break in while i'm in class they won't find it. Also lockbox I feel would take too long to get if I needed it at 3am. I'm moving out of the hood when I graduate though.
>>
>>33993507
i leave it on my bed with a mag in.

so if im in the bedroom i would have it already with one in the chamber and a mag dumped before you finish reading this
>>
>>33993507

Like two seconds.
If I'm awake and not in the shower, I'm carrying, or have my gun at arms reach from me.
>>
Pretty fucking many since i'm noguns.
>>
>>33993507
i just keep my revolver on me all the time..
cc around the house etc
>>
Whenever I get home I just sit in a chair pointed at the door with a round in the chamber of my AR so zero seconds at all times.
>>
>>33994225
Be careful with that.

I did the whole "sleep with one under the pillow thing" in college. Woke up half-dreaming with my hand wrapped around a loaded revolver.

I don't actually intend to grab my dick in my sleep, either, but I'll bet I do. Fortunately, if it goes off, there probably is neither an ER visit or a drywall patch kit in my immediate future.
>>
I live in a small studio apartment that's just one room and a bathroom. My rifle is hanging on hooks on the front of a big shelving unit I have in here, and a loaded mag is on the shelf right below it. I just timed myself and it takes me just under 8 seconds to go from shitposting at my desk to loaded, chambered, and pointed at the door.
>>
ak74 from posting on /k to dumping mags fast as I chamber a round
>>
>>33993507
1 second from where I'm sitting to get my CCW
less than 5 seconds to grab and shoulder my shotgun
>>
Smallish ranch-style house (3 bed 2 bath, only 1 floor.) Got a G19 with night sights on the nightstand unchambered, and loaded 870 by the door. Dining room-turned-office has a loaded GP100 in reach. Living room is pretty much unused, plus getting there involves walking right by the front door. Only place I spend time that isn't gunned-up is the shitter, and I'm considering a Bersa .380 for that.

Also considering getting a different gun for nightstand duty. I'd rather have the glock chambered, but I shift a lot in my sleep/have an asshole cat. Maybe just add a holster to it.
