"Only he best most futuristic"
Your micro fracturing flechettes barely qualify for both micro and fracturing.
At least my 5.45x18 can have some good old fashioned mercury fulminate tips for dealing with 'droids and regular humans, and on top of that actually functions more than 38% of the time.

My friend, a black powder revolver would work better than that barely-out-the-lab-doors bullshit and voodoo.
>>

>Muh fancy 5% better than lead azide drokk rounds are better than a modern flechette weapon

Stop pushing this dead info, reliability is per round for fletchers and its currently standing at 86% on average for decent quality chinese brands, maybe if you're buying Amerinadian crap you get stuck with 380rpm but I get a very comfortable 1200 at only 8000 per sleeve of ammo

Maybe if all you're doing is clearing local vidheads out of whatever mom and pop store you pull sec for you're OK with slugs, but don't even pretend you know anything about actual corp work coming out with shit like that, all the big PP services have standardized on fletch, for good reason

They're surplus dickhead.
>86% reliability
That's what they print on the packaging.
I've had four, two were seven-seven industries, one was Hanstadt armaments, and the other was an older surplus variant (Austrian I believe, but was a Chinese contract gun)

The first two broke down after three magazines, the second (hanstadt) decided that it only liked the top shelf (134,000/sleeve) flechettes and even then had shoddy reliability, and the last one actually somewhat worked, but the mags had a tendency to be unable to keep up with the ROF, even after having it downgraded.
I had them all inspected by competent smiths and routinely cleaned them.

And I work for Madrid international as corporate security.
I evict fired personnel from our grounds and keep out thieves.
It is neither mom and pop nor a corner store.
And in case you haven't noticed, they have all been ditching that shit like .40 S&W was ditched in the early '00s.

If it's aftermarket and the gun is over 10,000, don't buy it.
The factory magazines are quite expensive but they're only reliable ones currently out there, with the exception of some aftermarket ones that cost twice as much as factory mags.

The regular (cheap) aftermarkets skimped on the metal in the feedlots and the spring quality, causing the feed problems that fudds spout off about 24/7 in regards to the M5.

I found this Gen-62 Sexbot sleeping in the front of my tenement door last night. Can't find anything about her since her serial tags have been removed, no signs of having a previous owner. Her programming was easy enough to access, I'm currently torrenting pirated coding to upload into her. I'll start with the simple ones, housemaid and chef for now; then I'll move on from there to more complex skillsets.

I've been thinking, what if I put security guard protocol into her, and give her a rifle and plate carrier? Has anyone else here tried turning a sex robot into a decent home defense droid? I want her to provide me cover fire; on top of cooking dinner, cleaning my place, and riding my cock.

She's a sex bot. Perfectly harmless, even without the 3 Laws hardwired into her. Has the strength of a normal human female, no super strength or hidden blades. Manufactured solely for the purpose of being a snuggly bedwarmer.

So has anyone tried programming one for basic home defense? The YellowFin Securities Inc. code I'm currently torrenting has had zero malfunctions in its history since its release in 2019. No house guests or owners have been harmed for 15 years and over 1 million units sold. She'll be useless in CQB, but she has the capabilities of being a damn good shoot.

More specifically, Snow Crash for default cyberpunk, Diamond Age for slightly odd Victorian / Boxer Rebellion (I think, anyway) cyber punk, and Anathema for really weird Mathematical Catholicism Following the Fall of Rome cyberpunk.

Aside from those, the Ghost in Shell manga, movies, and TV series have probably replaced Gibbson's Nueromancer as the defining example. I'd be a crusty old nerd and bitch, but trans-humanism is a lot more interesting of a genre than mirror shades.

Blade Runner was the defining moment for cyberpunk, it was the piece that inspired so many other cyberpunk-themed works. Definitely worth a watch.

Shadowrun is a tabletop roleplaying game (and video game series) set in a cyberpunk future where magic forcefully returned to Earth, transforming many humans into Orcs, Elves, Dwarves and more. The combination of magic and tech provide for a multitude of playstyles, and you're going to want as diverse a team as possible to go toe-to-toe with the megacorperations.

Akira is an anime movie about a gang of teenage bikers in a sprawling megacity who watch one of their members be kidnapped by government forces. What follows is some really fucked up experiment shit. Highly recommend.

Should be said that while DXHR is a pretty good game in a cyberpunk setting, the story and themes aren't really cyberpunk. It's very ripped-from-the-headlines and identity politics. Nonetheless, still a fun fpsrpg, God knows there's too few of those around.
>>
>>33998475
I think the identity politics are more Mankind Divided's issue. HR is more about the global conspiracy and Illuminati. Don't forget to upgrade to the newest microchip.
>>
>>33998507
Yeah, HR is pretty damn cyberpunk. For some reason they got rid of the writers for HR and made Mankind Divided into a game that has you fight da man keeping a mechabrotha down with some skrillex hairdo afrolatino chick.

>>
>>33998507
The global conspiracy is there but it's based around the augmentations. /Are Lad/ Ross has already summed it up well but augmentations and the social dehumanization of auged people is very surface level compared to DX where augmentation was a symptom to a larger problem. I thought it was interesting and perceptive that IW turned that on its head a bit and said technology can be a path forward, the good or bad of it comes from use. IW was p bad tho and maybe overly simplistic in its themes.
>>
>>33998475
the DLC that sends you to a private military blacksite was cyber as fuarrk tho
>>
>>33998575
True. The original DX takes conspiracies to a whole new level. The entire game is 100% redpilled and HR doesn't go that far but I think its unfair to say that HR isn't really cyberpunk. I haven't played or read anything about IW because of the huge amount of negativity surrounding it.
>>
>>33998167
>Blade Runner

That's a weird one though. Great movie, but it's more a noir story dressed in Cyberpunk wallpaper.

The two genres have a lot of similarities, but one core difference is in the story's outcome. Noir protagonists nearly always fail to enact any change in their quest for the truth. I don't believe Deckard ultimately changed anything about the 'system'.

Now contrast that with how much of a paradigm shift you see the protagonists set off in GitS, Neuromancer, or Deus Ex.
>>
>>33998475
>the story and themes aren't really cyberpunk

The entire premise of the game is a dystopian society brought about by transhumanism. Swap human augmentation for cyberspace and AI and you literally have a Gibson novel.

My only complaint was the PDW being some bullshit air flechette gun rather than something like an MP11.

Director of the Institute of National Memory Vladimir Vyatrovich said that the symbols of the SS of Galicia are absent from the list of the law on Nazi symbols.

"Given this, the symbols of the 14th grenadier division of the SS Galicia troops in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine is not a symbol of the national-socialist (Nazi) totalitarian regime," Vyatrovich wrote.

Recall that last year in Lviv march to the anniversary of the SS Galicia.

Meanwhile, a Lvov student was recently sentenced for publishing communist symbols in the social network. He received a suspended sentence of 2.6 years.

Cyberpunk is a subgenre of science fiction in a future setting that tends to focus on society as "high tech low life"[1] featuring advanced technological and scientific achievements, such as information technology and cybernetics, juxtaposed with a degree of breakdown or radical change in the social order.[2]

Cyberpunk plots often center on conflict among artificial intelligences, hackers, and megacorporations, and tend to be set in a near-future Earth, rather than in the far-future settings or galactic vistas found in novels such as Isaac Asimov's Foundation or Frank Herbert's Dune.[3] The settings are usually post-industrial dystopias but tend to feature extraordinary cultural ferment and the use of technology in ways never anticipated by its original inventors ("the street finds its own uses for things").[4] Much of the genre's atmosphere echoes film noir, and written works in the genre often use techniques from detective fiction.[5]

"Surveyor." Basically a goon that goes camping. If any of you are into retro games it may sound like stalker. I go into remote parts of the world to scout out potential mines/outposts for megacorps and do asset recovery ops. That can be anything from equipment, servers, or people. Sometimes all three at the same time. Most places I go are considered no-goes.

>EDC
Whatever is mission critical. But I always carry a VSS with a day/night 1x6 optic, a knife, and a modified m320 that can shoot airburst and tazer rounds. Most of my kit is pretty primitive compared to the urban security goons you normally see running around.

I've posted some stories here before. My partner and I just got back from an op in South America. Anyboy interested?

I should say what I mean by big house is big hut. The camp was a series of huts inside a fence with a large one in the middle where they produce the drugs and sometimes scrap electronics they steal. It was an open air thing without walls and not much light illuminating it.

>three hours until daylight
>we've got to get this guy out of here fast
>partner takes the guy and set up an LZ about 1 kilo away from the camp on a hill
>thankfully the company had a bird on standby so extraction isn't going to take long
>I go to the big house to try and find the data card
>from the shadows I see it on a table
>looks like they were using it to line up the coke
>next to the card is a very large man that is more than likely high
>I do not want to fight a coked up colombian shrek
>say fuck it
>dome the guy right there, run in, and grab the card
>his friends stood there in shock as a gringo covered in green and black paint just killed their friend and ran off with the coke shuffler they were using
>I have now kicked the hornet's nest
>the camp is now alive with the sound of pised off columbians
>tell partner to get the bird in there ASAP
>I'm running as fast as I can
>these guys are catching up
>fire an airburst to give me some breathing room
>It works
>when I get to the LZ the bird is waiting
>hop on
>as we lift off the men crash into the cleairing and start firing at the bird
>door gunner has some fun with his mounted chemrail
>back to civilization

Never found out what was on that data card. But the people that did find out that it was a rival company based out of England that were negotiating for it and the guy we found hogtied.
