I only go to McMiller since it's the best bang for your buck.

The Conservation Club of Kenosha County is down the street from me but it's probably the shittiest range I have ever been to. $30 entry, tiny ass stalls, only single loading anything bigger than a .22. I think it's cause of all the FIBs going there.

I do. Waupaca guy so not sure you'd want to drive to Central WI. I have 40 acres. I only own 7 my father in law owns the other 33. I could host a small party maybe 10-15. We could go balls out when shooting, as long as safety is involved and people pick up their trash in my woods.

Better than here, all the ranges I've looked at around here are "clubs" with $$$ membership fees and waiting lists for membership. That's why I go to Yellowstone. I've only had a couple issues there, last time there was a pack of dindus literally with an AK and High Points. We're spraying brass everywhere and put more rounds in the grass than the paper

for Dane County being the shit it is, the Sheriff is surprisingly pro-2A and would enthusiastically sign NFA paperwork as long as you never had spent a night in "his hotel". We would probably want to give the Sheriff's Dept. a heads up that we'd want to have a meet up at their range, but they do allow public use.

I've been a few times. Given that the Portage range is $50/yr, I do most of my shooting there, but Portage doesn't allow guests except for competitions hosted there, so when shooting w/ friends we typically use the Sheriff's facility. It's pretty nice, and the deputies are bro-tier.

One thing people need to know is that the reason the clubs are so anal retentive around here is that this state is practically New Bavaria, and in pre-imperial Bavaria, the local shooting clubs were also the local militia, and they were very anal retentive about who could join.

As most of the German population in Wisconsin came to escape the Kulturkampf they brought the traditional shooting sports w/ them.

South Milwaukee here, there's a few indoors, but they all have shitty fudd autist rules, ammo type restrictions, caliber bans. Mcmiller is the best place to be unless you pay for the private range membership (county line gun club) I'd be down to meet up and shoot

Everyone who goes to McMiller needs to stop and go to Milford Hills. ROs are much more relaxed and don't get up your ass over every little thing. Only problem is they close at 2pm on weekends.

Big fan of wi. My big chicongo bucks go a long way there, buy almost all of my milsurp funs there.
