T-72B3 are just Soviet built T-72B refitted with new ERA, engine and electronic. they have the same base armor

Russian T-90A was design based on India T-90S

but India T-90S have lest feature than Russian T-90A

other country T-90S like Azerbaijan or Algérie maintain all the T-90A feature

Russia is focusing on upgrading its T-72B fleet to T-72B3 as a cost effective alternative to T-90 and getting T-14 into production.

At this point T-90 development is mostly for export.

T-90 and T-72 chassis are pretty close
so any development on the T-90 can be apply to the T-72

UVZ are persuading Russian MOD to upgrade their 2006 producion T-90A to the T-90M standard
