How about some useful infographs or lifehacks? Can be /k/ or innawoods related will dump a few
The old poorfag gun list there was great for its day, but desperately needs updating. Some of the guns on it are not readily available anymore (like the MP18) and some have risen in price (the Mosin and the Savage Axis), and new good poorfag options have appeared (cheapshit Turk shotguns).
The problem is, nobody seems to be willing to put the effort into a revision.

If i'm being on honest I don't know too much about guns. I want to learn about them but i'm not sure where to start. This is OP by the way
>>33979279
Well instead of the
>lurk moar
reply you'd most often get with one of your questions, let's change the pace a little and begin by what do you want to know.

Well I mostly wanted to learn the inner working of a gun and what cases it's legal or illegal to use and what types or brands would be better to use
>>33979782
Wow thanks! these actually help quite a bit!
>>33979740
>>33979782
Wow these are ancient

As for the first question, try rummaging around YouTube. You can find a lot of great instructional videos there. As for the second, that depends a lot on where you live. As for the third, I'm kind of a Ruger fanboy - of the nine firearms I currently own, three are milsurps and four are Rugers (the other two are a Bersa pistol and a Mossberg shotgun). Speaking of which, Mossberg shotguns are very nice and an excellent value. Henry rifles are also very nice, though not cheap, and the same could be said for Sako/Tikka.
A .22 rifle is a fine place to start. My first rifle was a Ruger 10/22, on which I put a Nikon P-Rimfire scope. If you shop around, you can get the 10/22 for $200ish and the scope for $150ish. Once you git gud with those, you can move up to bigger caliber and more expensive equipment.
I hope that helps.

Thank you. I was kinda scared to open up a board because I never post here but i'm glad that It's helpful information and just not shitposting. Stay golden /k/
>>33979225
updated version
>>33983053
Thanks dude. I have like a huge folder filled with stuff like this and every time I put a new one in idk it's just kind of a good feeling. Like I know a little more or something.
>>33983053
That's a definite improvement. One further change I'd make would be to replace the Baikal MP-18 (which are basically impossible to find these days) with the Hatfield single-shot 12 gauge, which can be found at Walmart for $99 dollars.
Here's some more I have in my folder guys
>>33981299
Sooo many complaints on this:
Rags on head, keep them the same, buy in bulk for easy FvF identification. (use second identifier for if questioned about first)
Walky Talky - 2 way? range is total shit. UV-5R, now your 2 way can become many at the same cost per unit.
Budget AR can be done for $400-500.
No stevens 320 tactical 12 gauge.
Nagants are all $200+ with shit ammo and are louder than fuck giving away your position. There are way better rifles out there at the price now.
No mention of thread adapters on barrel, and no mention of oil/fuel filters for silencers.
>>33983730
Oh sorry bro. I just kinda saved it. I didn't know how much it was true because like I said earlier i don't know to much about guns
>>33983759
No problem, just like to avoid bad advice.
>>33983825
Well i appreciate that you could filter it for me. Taking information from the infographics can be risky so having someone to clear the bullshit out is cool
>>33981493
This man is correct.
OP, if you're still here, try going to gun shows and finger fucking any and all guns that catch your eye. One of the first guns I handled was a CZ75b and it was pure sex. I went with a beretta M9 instead and have it to this day.
Another thing, go to gun ranges and try out different guns you want. Not only do you specifically narrow down your choices for a purchase, you can find which guns tailor to your shooting style. Once you are comfortable with a gun, plan and research various shops for the best price.
>>33984474
I'm not sure when a gun show is near here but i will try to find one. I know right down the street i have a kinda military store thing.I'm gonna check it out tomorrow when i can. Do you think it will have anything worthwhile? Also thanks dude i appreciate the advice
Got tons of these infographs shit...
Feel free to make requests on old shit, I may just have...
>>33983297
using smokes with matches wont work nowadays, a lit cigarette will go out on its own after a short while.
>>33986246
I have most recent stuff but if you have some real ancient shit on gun buying or like operation or even just how to make stuff that would be rad dude

I recommend YouTube. Guys like hickok45, iraqveteran8888, neverenuffammo, and even sometimes nutnfancy have good content and will teach you a lot about firearms. TFB tv is a good YouTube channel as well, they do a good mix between new and old firearms.
will dump later
>>33984544
Old milsurp stuff can be great to use in most all innawoods/survival situations but remember not to go crazy with gear. When setting up your gear always ask yourself if each item is necessary or not. weight is a huge issue so once you think you have your gear packed the way you want it go out to your local forest preserve or whatever you have and walk a few miles with it to see how, cumbersome it is. If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask in /k/ or /out/. There is a lot shit posting than /b/

Pardon the ignorance but what makes it bad?
anyone have info graphs on what to parts/parts kit to buy to make an AR or AK?
>>33989952
Thanks lad I appreciate it
>>33990217
well, the medical section is total bullshit for one thing. vodka is not good for cleaning wounds. having a fuck ton of gauze isn't going to help a broken bone. this was obviously written by a milsurp fag, these kinds of guides are best left to /out/.
>>33990611
I know this was made as a joke, but it actually holds a ton of weight in real life.
>>33981299
Vz. 2008 is outdated, same goes with all the slavshit
>>33990217
For one thing I can't tell what activity someone is actually engaging in "innawoods." It does infer backpacking, but then everything suggested is full-retard heavy. Incidentals in ones kit are emphasized, while critical ones aren't even mentioned.
>Generally cringey language that is a dead giveaway the author has no experience in life
>Never discusses boots once, this is literally the most important thing when backpacking
>Barely mentions pack, advice is shit, this is the second most important thing
>Hammock + standard tarp will weigh more than a tent, but take longer to setup and be less comfy
>Cast iron - that's fucking idiotic
>Vague food suggestions
>Terrible first aid advice, bandaids are handy as fuck, you should not pour vodka on wounds
>clothing makes no mention of materials at all, is limited to "lol pockets"
>The kukri meme
>You can pack three bright as fuck LED headlamps for the size and weight of that flashlight
Basically, the guide either doesn't give advice, or gives shit advice, and it'll make you cringe at the 13yo language the whole way through. Yet it is reposted again and again. It's been around for a decade... I guess I'd miss it if it was gone all of a sudden.
>>33991467
Oh do you have any infographs or even just lists or anything with some better updated stuff? I'm trying to make a checklist but i'm not sure where to start
>>33991533
You're completely right but fuck you kukris are useful as fuck, better than a hatchet in my books.
>>33991566
honestly you seem like the kind of guy to make one of these info graphs since you're so passionate about them. I haven't seen one up to date in a long while. ARs are currently cheaper than milsurp and good budget rifles for the time being, you could start there. Windham, bushmaster, delton, palmetto (when on sale), ruger.
>>33989697
If you are on mobile, open the image in the new tab and delete the m at the end of the file. If it gives you a 404 error, change the file from a .jpg to a .png
