I see a lot of threads about weapons and which ones to pick. (inb4 lol nogunz board)
ITT I'd like to see some groupings you did last time you went to the range, good or bad, rifle, pistol, shotgun whatever.
Post 'em, give tips, jerk each other/yourself off.

off to a flying start as my image gets rotated.
how do I not suck, but faster? That goddamn flinch/anticipation has become a habit now.
Is a ~12" group at 50 yards standing with a century arms C308 "okay?"
>>33974882
Slow pace, standing, off hand at 50yds, with any rifle, 12" wouldnt be acceptable for me.
I personally would feel happy shooting that way, and not missing a 6" plate at 50yd, and a 12" plate at 100yd
>>33974952
I'll have to get gooder, then.
the weight of the rifle kills me fairly quickly
Took my father's old Revelation Model 100 innawoods today after cleaning and oiling it. Hasn't been shot since the 70s. Using Remington Gold. 6" grouping at 100ft.

>That goddamn flinch/anticipation has become a habit now.
Should have listened when people told you not to get a 10mm you meme fuck. Let me guess, G29.
>>33974990
Where are you holding your c308, I hold with my support hand on the trunnion area for rapid fire, and do the support hand on mag, elbow on stomach technique. It makes the weight of the gun not as big of a deal.
My ptr has the heavy double stage trigger, and I find what works is to pull it to the second stage, and pull through. If I go with a slow force I can find 2 other "stages" in the trigger and it is inconsistent.
>>33974861
Practice more with JUST the 9mm, and focus on support hand squeeze. Also, focus on single action only, if it is DA/SA
From a class literally about not blaming the gun/sights.
Lets see if 4chan rotates the picture again. Fuck it if it does.
>>33976014
What distance, 10 yds?
>>33974861
Try balancing an empty casing on the end of your slide or on your front sight while dry firing. Objective is to not let the brass fall.
Alternatively have a friend load a few dummy rounds into a mag for you, slow fire. It will help you really pick up on when you are flinching.

7 and 10
>>33976014
I am this anon. Different range, different trip. 12ish yds (eyeballing past 10yds)
>>33976077
Some accurate shooting, it is odd how you are pulling on this target, but it looks like the class helped fix those problems.
Recently got to take my Jericho out to the range. Also took y P1 along for a little fun.
These two targets are both 15 rounds, two handed slow fire at 7 yards with the 941. I know I have a bit of a flinch and I'm working on it. I feel like I'm a below average shooter since I only get out to the range 2 or 3 times a year and only fire 2 or 3 hundred rounds a year. But then I look at 90% o the other people at the range shooting silhouette targets at 4-5 yards and it looks like they've been shot with a viedogame shotgun. Am I not as bad as I think I am or are most other people just complete garbage?

Working on a new load for my Remington 700 LR in 7mm rem mag.
Backed off the powder charge since it seemed inconsistent so close to the max.
Right now I'm doing exactly 57.5gn of hybrid 100v with cci large rifle magnum primers and hornady eld-x 162gn bullets.
Don't have a picture since the target is in my Jeep but I managed to get 5 shots within half an inch at 100m and 5 shots within 1.5 inches at 250m.
5 shot chrono gave me:
2878 fps
2873 fps
2849 fps
2855 fps
2873 fps
Everything looks good to me so I think I've found a good load.

Most people don't focus on actually getting better. I tend to focus on speed and general accuracy due to my comp shooting background.
However most range attendants are there just to have fun, which is cool.
This was 2 mags (32 rounds) where I switched targets every shot. Centers of the targets were about 15 inches apart. Shots were about 1 a second at 7 yards, two handed.
This was my last target of the trip (fired around 160 rounds total) Target was a 12 yards, 30 rounds fired quickly (about every half second) with two hands.
Since my off hand hand wrist is messged up, I always try to do at least a little bit of 1 handed shooting whenever I go out.
This target was 15 rounds, dominant hand at 5 yards, slow fire. The covered holes and the few in the corner of the target were off hand shots at the same distance.
This one was with the P1. 17 rounds, 6 yars, two handed slow fire. I found that I didn't pull to the left anywhere near as much with the P1, but the sights are a lot more narrow and I had much more vertical groupings.
I had a few more targets but I didn't save them becasue they were either shot to complete shit or not that great.

Thanks Anon.
While I am directly contradicting the purpose of my first post, and the class, Had just installing new sights. Was testing out the alignment. It was slightly off. I ran a few mags through to be sure. Pulled a couple because indoor public range and I was 99% sure the fools renting a G43 in the next lane were about to ND into somone or something.
Excuses are like assholes, but those are mine, lol.

All the up and down stringing tells me that you need to work on your breathing. Work on it a lot. Dime/washer drills will also help with the flinch.
>>33974861
You are right handed I'm guessing?
>>33975695
glock20 actually
Last one from me tonight. Working on building on speed with this one. Just a tad past 7yds.

Nice group!
I miss DOTM ;____;
>>33978864
Was testing different loads with new bullet and powder, these groups are with less powder, obviously the loads in first pictures passed because the other loads where shooting kinda average.
>>33978676
Really nice group my dude, scope or open sights?
>>33974499
Last time I shot for accuracy was just testing the sights on my new vepr308.
Marked the ones from that day with red dots.
>>33979406
Scope is Burris Fullfield II 3.5x10x50 LRS, setup was on table with sandbag, i know its not probably best scope but i got it for free and im poorfag so i take what i can and make best of it. My old Tikka is somewhat 30 years old, i got it cheap from relative which used to hunt birds, rifle has not been modified expect stock bedding, painted and longer buttstock.
>>33979406
This is my though with my family heirloom M28/30 mosin, i like to fuck around with this rifle because i feel i don't have to be that accurate with open sight and forgive myself few flinches here and there.
