lads, how do I decide between the two?
Why is an optic that magnifies less more expensive, for the same caliber, by the same brand.

just to clarify, the P-Rimfire is 2-7x32 and the Prostaff is 3-9x40
better glass.
To tag along with this, I have a CZ 455 synthetic I recently bought and I'm debating the Prostaff II (which I already have one on my 10/22 build), a P-22, or a Leupold FX-1. Which should I get?
I was going to guess the 2-7 is lighter, until I actually looked. I am guessing you're paying more for the lower profile, and the super cool exposed turrets.
Go to the fucking website and compare stats? The P-Rimfire is better all around.

>one on top has finger adjustable turrets with zero stop, maybe even bullet drop compensation
>one on bottom is capped, could be finger adjustable or coin slot, and definitely doesn't have a zero stop or bullet drop compensation

This is the reason.

The Prostaff Rimfire II is coin slot BUT it does have a BDC.
Source: I own several.

Also forgot to mention, Rimfire I and II both have BDCs.

I meant BDC elevation knob. I'm sure the crosshair BDC works fine.

Just get the rimfire 2 if it's for nothing important.
Prostaffs are pretty nice no matter what you get so any difference isn't going to be a big deal
