Check these things out. The Iraqi army claims they are home made rocket launchers being used by ISIS.

Can anyone identify the materials? Do you think they actually work.

Saved, so far I've managed to get my hands on every photo of these I can find. These threads derail pretty quickly with claims of conspiracy, but I tend not to care about such inconsequential details.

My money is on the launchers being a reversed engineered Matador that was "acquired" during the IDF's last incursion into Palestine by Hamas. The plans from this were probably emailed to ISIS and next thing you know, Caliphate Launcher. I mean Mosul is a pretty good sized town, it wouldn't be that difficult to make something like this with the resources available.

One thing I've noticed is that the tan ones have a shorter tube than the green. It makes me think that this signify's a warhead difference. Did you find a new video of them firing? The ones I've seen make me think it is a recoiless launcher, some vids have a plume of smoke a la the RPG-2 but others show a very clean burn, not sure if it's a design difference or poor chemistry or both.

Can't wait to hear about why else you think it's a Matador.

Go on, make me laugh

It's a fucking tube with an ignition system attached to it. There is nothing there that requires reverse-engineering.

Ever heard that the simplest solution is the most likely?

What kind of munitions are they shooting out of them? They look too wide for an RPG, they kind of look like homemade Gustav's
>>
>>33971329
RPG-7 rounds are wider than a Carl Gustav
>>
>>33971361
Really? I guess I've never seen the actual Gustav round, the launchers look pretty girthy, I know RPG7 are pretty thin, at least the tail end

Is that a reverse engineered Matador? It's green and a tube like a Matador.
>>
God this thread sucks. Anyways I heard they were making shoulder fired rocket launchers that shot 2.75" rockets like from a rocket pod.
>>
>>33970885
Matador is a countermass system, this one doesn't look to have that feature.
>>
>>33971429
Use your eyes, man. There are green variants and tan variants. It's obvious that ISIS is shifting from beta testing to LRIP of the finished product. Couple that with the increasing militancy of Antifa, you can draw only 1 logical conclusion-
Antifa will be deploying heavy weapons by June.

No you dolt, it's a reverse engineered panzerschrek. Dont you see the blast shield?

Daesh has been unrolling domestically produced munitions, mostly mortars rounds that are apparently comparative to Western arms factories.

Don't remember the article that stated as much, but just remember a report saying that their productive capability was not as low as suspected.

A boatload of educated Muslim extremists joined daesh, just as AQ had previously attracted similar recruits.

Those same asshole may throw in their subject-matter expertise to AQ/JFS/HTS as daesh folds across Syria and Iraq.

They are not all dumb jihadist, a perspective that largely exists outside of /k/. Having a healthy respect for your foe can prevent learning the hard way.

>Daesh has been unrolling domestically produced munitions,
Implying that shit isn't made in turkey in the same factories that used to make cheap ammo for wallmart.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTPXSKkaCAE

Why bother with the logistics of running factories in a war zone when your shit could be made on the other side of the border.
>>
>>33970466
>Do you think they actually work.
I imagine so, the complicated part of an unguided warhead is really the rocket itself. The launcher doesn't need to be anything fancy to the best of my knowledge. I'm sure there are better ones, but I don't see how it could not work really.
>>
>>33974001
I'm not implying anything, I'm stating that daesh is capable of producing certain shells, in their own system of production, as similar metallurgy consistencies of Western Arms factories.

I have no doubt that daesh has been receiving logistical support largely by Qatar, Erdogan (him and his cronies/MIT). TAF remain quietly opposed to the reformations being made in the secular government envisioned by founder Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

Have stayed in touch with a couple members of the Turkish Military folks, and those were their beliefs at the time, and as far as I know at present.
