i never understood how people keep dogs inside or even consider taking dogs anywhere or having them do anything

i have two dogs and they are absolute niggers
you just have to step one foot into the garden and they fucking jump on you like you're made of steak
they don't stand still for a fucking minute and they don't respond to commands
when i walk them they tug on the leash all the way and they can't even fetch a fucking ball and bring it back
fuck me if we ever let them inside they piss on absolutely everything

That sucks, anon. My last pupper was a mutt and older than shit, I had to put him down on my 18th birthday and then go to lunch with my grandparents after. With my shepherd, I can't fathom watching him die. It was hard the first time, but I'll be crushed this time. I fully trust him, he's not food aggressive, when I get pissed he'll put my hand on his head, and I know he'll give his life for me if it came down to it.

No edge intended, but your battle buddy goes deeper than a love you can share with any human. Unconditional loyalty and camaraderie isn't common in people, with your battle buddy it absolutely is.

same thing happened to my 13yr old doggo last year, she had a seizure one day but it seemed like she was okay after recovering from the scare, but then she had a real bad one the next morning that had the effects of a stroke, leaving half her body limp and she was completely out of it mentally, so much so it didn't even phase her to go to the vet and be handed off when she normally goes batshit. she was a literal bitch much of the time but I still loved the fuck out of her.

Loved guns, chased bears into trees, saved me from a Cougar when I was 12.Cat leaped out in front of us and she charged out fearlessly and head butted it in the side and just started biting the shit out of the cat until the cat ran off. Startled the cat so badly, it only got one hit on my girl.

I had her since I was 10. She lived to hit 15, lost control of her back end and her quality of life just collapsed. I had to put her down a month and a half before Black boy.

New dog is on the way. A friend had a litter of labs so I'm going to get one of them, either a chocolate or black lab

I list my fallen because a good Doggo is never dead, they're only missing in action.

The pit isn't mine, but left pupper is best pupper. Weird hot dog lookin mutt with some hound in'em. Loves to track animals, or at least tricks me and pretends to. Deer particularly. So in a survival situation I can just pretend he finds one and not be hungry anymore.

To pupper's credit he did chase down and kill a rat that was living under my house.

How expensive is a small dogger (corgi or boston terrier, fuck everything smaller) grew up with dogs and I miss it so much. Living alone with no goofy buddy is killing me, and I could use the exercise walking it. Hell, its the only thing I'd ever go on a jog for. And it would make me keep my apartment cleaner

Just get a mutt from the shelter. They are almost always healthier and live longer than pure breed abominations. You will be saving a life too and usually they know that somehow. Nearly every shelter dog I have ever owned has been very well behaved, but I am pretty particular about dogs so that may be a reason for my experience though.
My current shelter dog is the smartest dog I have ever come across including border collies and other typically smart pure breed dogs.

You heard correctly but there is a limit. I live in southern Texas so it has to be done to keep him happy. (I generally do it after he starts not wanting to go outside) Also gets rid of matting of the undercoat too.

Wake up in the morning with Schnauzer Battle buddy laying behind My knee. His Chin was touching His Chest and then I realize His kneck muscles are cramped solid. Dads a Trucker and halfway across America, On Fathers Day mind You. Animal control is Off duty and all vets where closed. He flushed His system with water due to bladder stones the Size of Chicken Fucking Nuggets. Basically fucked His Ph level and it Messed His muscles up. He showed no signs of any of this previously. Toughest Dog I've ever had. He was in so much pain I would hope He would do the same for Me. >tfw You know how Snake feels standing beside the Boss.

Anyone have or seen an American Alsatian?

Would love to have one someday
