an AR has more utility. take into account what you will be using this smg for and the type of scenarios. you might use it for home defense or for funs, but what if you need a rifle platform when shtf?

If you got the money, get it, heck, get both an AR and an Evo. In all seriousness, an EVO is more of a range toy than a ultitiarian weapon, unlike the AR which has more aftermarket parts than an EVO could ever possibly have.

I've got 6 (7 technically, got a stripped lower sitting around) guns, and 1 of them is an AR, and that AR is easily my favorite. For some reason, they're fun as dick to shoot, and the customizability makes them like a Lego set. Honestly, I'd say get the AR, especially since if you're a poorfag like I am, you can get a fairly nice one for under 700 bucks. I """built""" mine by buying an upper and lower separate, and I've never had a jam, misfire, or stovepipe.

This gun is probably just for fun. For those asking.

If you aren't old enough to actually buy a pistol I don't think its a bad idea. 9mm is considerably cheaper than 5.56 (or .223) so you can afford to shoot it more and you'll be able to find a range that will let you use it more easily. I actually think its a better home defense gun too since 5.56 will over penetrate indoors.

That said a pistol is more practical than a pistol carbine, so if you don't own one and you can legally buy one that should be your first purchase.

9mm is cheaper than 5.56 and an adequate defensive round. Don't get the pistol version. Learning to shoot on a rifle is much easier and you can always SBR it later.

I'd say buy it and shoot as much as you can afford to. Get an AR when you've got 5K rounds through the EVO and you know what to look for in a properly sorted rifle.

i like my cz carbine a lot. i dont think id pick it over an AR as my only gun though, the AR is more versatile than the evo.
and while its no absolutely necessary, aftermarket parts are kind of a must for the evo to make into a great gun. out of the box, its just good with its undersized charging handle, safety that digs into your hand, and a trigger thats meh.

Yes they do let us try them out at that range so I probably will get a shot to try it.

When you consider everything that isn't an AR can easily go well over 1k, 1k isn't a lot. Hell the Evo is a steal compared to the MPX ,even if I think the MPX is better
