Thinking about buying a bolt action rifle for my collection
Was thinking about getting a remington model 700 in 30-06
Is it worth it /K/? Never dipped into them before and after loads of reviews ot looks pretty damn fun.
Any recommendations would be nice, somewhat new to guns and completely new to bolt action rifles.
I currently own a
Springfield 1911 (TRP)
Glock 19
Sig p226
Ruger GP100
Cz-75B
Arsenal AK-47
And a Ruger takedown (AR15)

Where do you plan to store it? Is it going to be in the open for people to see as a talking piece or in a safe where no one will ever see it unless you go to the range?
Go with pre 2000s model 700s.

In a safe (california)
Im just looking for a fun gun and was somthing i stumbled upon. Again, looking for a good 30-06 rifle i can take out to a range for fun and/or hunt with.
Savage Model 10 is cheap and very accurate.

Savage Model 10, Savage Axis, Mossberg Patriot, Ruger Americans, and Shit even the T/C Compass are all good options for first time bolt buyers.
Remington is suffering from some QC issues as of the last few years so I wouldn't dip into a 700 if I where you.
For best value, one of the new Mossberg Patriot+ Vortex Combos would be a great entry.

Fuck ya, thanks man. Looking for all the info i could get!

Remington is shit. Don't even buy a Remington nose hair trimmer. Buy a Winchester Model 70, the rifleman's rifle.
