During the winter when it was too cold to do general exercise outdoors my mom's school taught a marksmanship unit in gym class. They shot 22lr rifles in the underground tunnels that connected the school buildings.

During hunting season my dad and his friends would bring their rifles/shotguns to school, put them in their lockers and go hunting immediately after class.

My friends and I were doing this in the early 2000s except we left them in our cars and we didn't tell anyone. It's really that simple.

I was in grade school in 99, but my Social Studies teacher was a huge Old West buff (he actually published a few novels in the sitting) and told us about how he used to be able to bring his "cowboy guns" to class and pass them around for the class to dry fire at the chalk board.

This was in a Chicago public school. I'd like to think he taught a few would-be degenerates proper gun safety (or at least to aim properly and not kill an innocent bystander)

Graduated in '97, distinctly remember bringing grandpa's 10/22 in a case and keeping it in my padlocked locker, so that I could head to boy scout marksmanship training after school. Semi- rural PA.

Honest 2¢ here: I'm super anti-gunner became a meme was cus a well detailed effort. Literally kids were targeted the most were the people of the gun were (conservative), because a percentage by stats says at least something would make them flip. With nicely webbed media control, they could make a big scene about it just to scream, "What about the children, America?!". Diabolical. and why the agenda?.. This was before my time, but my school used to have a gunsmithing class, and our rifle team used to use 22lrs instead of .177 air rifles. The machine shop even still has some old barrels hiding in the back of the storage closet.

I believe this. When I was in pre-school, one of the older kids brought a 20 gauge to show off. The only thing that happened was that the people running the place kept it in the office for the day, but they didn't even notice he had it until it was almost lunch time.

When i was in highschool teachers stop giving a fuck but we still didnt trust them.

He made the request 2 more times before half the guys in the glass stood up and pulled one out for him.

I got caught a few times by cool teachers with my knife but i always got the same response

The whole knife thing was on a person to person bases. We have had a few stabbings over the years and some crazy student attacking teachers, so if you werent a piece shit you were pretty good to go.

The micro-uzi was kinda cool, but some of the smaller bits kept falling off. The AR (triangular hand guard, etc) was in better shape.

I honestly can't remember how he brought them to or from class, but he was one of the kids who lived within walking distance.

Also, I'm assuming they were dewat because he said they were.
