Another guy had a really rough no-finish Colt 1903 Type 2 with the barrel installed wrong (protruding beyond the bushing, extractor cranked way out because it wasn't sitting in the slot, etc). He was talking to me otherwise I'd have taken a pic of the poor thing.

He asked what I was looking and so I said I had a 1903 and was seeing which type he had. He identified it and asked if I wanted to buy. I repeated I already had one but asked how much.

I mentioned plastic pistols: there was an entire three tables of bargain-basement guns: hi-points, jimenez arms stuff, taurus. They were at least priced appropriately, I don't think there was a single price tag over $200 on the table.

I buy if there's mil surp.
I don't trust buying mil surp online as you don't know what you're getting and they are sold as is.
I bought my SKS at a show a while back, a Russian 53 Tula, 550 bucks so yes a bit overpriced but it has all matching numbers and a crisp bright bore.
Can't tell before buying online from most vendors.

I'm going to my first gun show in Oak, PA next Sunday. I'm sure it will be absolute shit based on what I've read here, but I've never been to one before so fuck it. Hopefully I'll at least get to fingerfuck some guns I've never handled before, and have a better idea of what to buy online next. If I see a Walther P99 there for a half decent price though I'm walking out with it.

It shoots great. The thumb safety is easy to use. The mag release is a little different but not bad. It's become one of my favorites.

Yup. You shouldn't have any problem finding uppers or lowers. There were several tables helping people build their own ARs.
