Anything from 10m precision pistols, to big bore air rifles.

Ready when you are. Let's do this.

Can you use air guns for personal defense?
>>33949114
You can but don't, you'll get assfucked legally for harming your attacker despite them perpetrating a violent crime against you.
Are there any bolt action airguns?
Is there any reason to go with .22 instead of .177 when I'm just going to shoot for recreation? Will using an air rifle/pistol give me any weapon handling skills transferable to actual firearms?
My country doesn't let me have firearms yet, by the way. You need to be 25 years old here.

>IMPLYING
Any amount of force is legal in the US, generally speaking, if you are defending your life or home. People have defended themselves with Martini Henrys and 20mm rifles without being charged with a crime.

Yes. Although for practicality, sidelever is better.
That said - my air arms s400f is a bolt action pcp.
>>33949403
It can teacb you to use iron sights, as well as thd basics of ballistics, moa, holdovers, hold off, stance (hft is still a target sport though).
Plus, it's relaxing as fuck. Pic related was shot today, 5 shots outdoors, 10 meters, feinwerkbau 100 (the one in op), olympic stance.

Also - .22 is less affected by wind, and judging distance is more important, since a .22 (16 j limit) zeroed at 25 has a 20 cm drop at 50 (4 mil dot holdover), while a .177 has a 10 cm drop (2 dots holdover).
Also .22 is bettef for pest control. On the other hand, if your "recreation" is going to involve ft/hft competitions at some point (trust me - it is), then you want a .177.

>pest control
Illegal in my country. Such cases.
>involve ft/hft competitions at some point
Probably not, competitions seem to be very rare in my country.
I'll probably go with the .177, then. As it's cheaper to own and shoot and if by a stroke of luck there is a competition, I'll have the right caliber.
Thanks.

Which country, if you don't mind me asking?
>>33949669
Brazil.
Firearm ownership here is so strictly regulated it's practically banned.
>>33949837
That doesn't seem to stop the gangs in Rio.
Still - you can get some good habits with airguns. I learned a lot since i started shooting 10m pistol last week.
>>33949892
Laws never stop criminals, nope.
And that's good to know. I do intend to go through all the hurdles of firearm ownership one I come 'of age'.

He's implying the other guy will live.
>>33949837
The only way you are ever going to get any sort of CCW license in Brazil is if you join the local police force. If you live in a shitty area good luck owning any sort of firearm legally.
>>33949053
Are blowguns airguns?
Yeah they are.
>>33949114
yes, you can kill buffaloes with non-powder guns
currently looking into the matter myself, i want to arm my family for the upcoming racewar
>>33949837
That explains why your country is so safe.
