Post your imperfect Glocks and stories.

Their ergos stayed in the 1980's and are not up to 2017 standards.
>>
Surely most malfunctions occur from using too hot of ammunition.

only problem I have had with my glock is the slide rusted a little after leaving it in a holster for months. All my guns rust though because where I live it's humid as fuck :/ so I just scrub it off with a coarse sponge and oil it and use a blueing marker if I want. Also g19 has and always will feel like shit in my hand, but it makes an alright carry gun

>buy brand new G17 at Black Friday sale
>fuck year!
>take it to the range
>get three mags into it, BRASS! Brass everywhere! My chest, my shoulder, my arm.
>not mush handing it, wtf
>contact Glock, they pay to ship it back, they replace extractor and other parts for free
>get it back, take it to the range
>still get odd shell hitting my shoulder or arm
>nope, trade it in to the range I'm at for a undisclosed amount of in store credit
turns out brass to the face is a common problem for the Gen 4s. shame too, I wanted to give Lenny at the Glock store my money
>>
>>33947788
I have a Glock 19 Gen4 and it's run perfectly save for the casings to the face. I hear there are some extractors that fix the issue, but I'm not sure.

Also, the trigger feels like it's 8 lbs.
>>
>>33948198
it is the extractor. but the extractor plunger may also be contributing to it. When I sent my G17 back to Glock they replaced both as well as the firing pin safety plunger

I have a gen 3 glock 19 as my main handgun right now. It runs fine. Eats cheap ammo and hadn't jammed in the 2k or so rounds I have through it. I really hate the ergos on it though. It's like it was designed for someone with square gumby fingers. I plan on getting a new fun for the nightstand and it definitely won't be a Glock, but I think I'll keep the glock as my carry gun and throw some night sights on it. I like having something I don't care about too much in my holster
>>
>>33948176

have you tried you know, swapping the extractor or not being a little bitch about little metal caps hitting you
>>
>>33948176
Hot brass in the face builds character. Did you have a dad growing up?
>>
>>33948386
have you tried upping your reading comprehension?
>>
i have several gen4s and have had no issues with any of them. i went with glock because sig is faggoty about the frame controls for left handed shooters.

next purchase is gonna be hk though i think
>>
I've carried glocks for 10 years, probably around 50k rounds, never had a malfunction caused by the weapon. Also never seen a malfunction in person. They just work.

That said, after a while of not shooting all my first rounds from holster are high because of the ergos. I started out on 1911s which are much flatter.

You just need to train it out.

>Have OD Glock 35 Gen 3
>Spring replacement, 3.5 connector, Dawson precision sights
>Put in KKM 9mm conversion barrel, 9 extractor/ejector/9mm mags
Easily one of the best competition firearms you can get for the price and still compete against 2-3k race guns. It's too easy to swap parts in and out and you practically never need a gunsmith for one. Been looking at .357 Sig barrels for it because of those sweet sweet ballistics in 5" barrel

Ive had this problem with a g19 gen 4. ruined a pair of glasses from brass in the face, changed out parts sent it off to glock, and when it came back i promptly ruined another pair of glasses in the first mag.

I sold my glock after that, fuckem.

My G19 ejects into a perfect 1' circle 7' to my right, but it dumps brass down my 120-lb wife's shirt on the regular.

...are you my 120-lb wife, anon?
>>
>>33947788
If you're buying it just to have one, buy one. Then make your own decision. I don't care for them all that much, but still have one and would probably buy a Glock 34 at some point.

But I'm kind of a spaz and like to own a lot of guns
>>
>>33947788
got a glock 17 gen 3 and a 20 gen 4. never had a single jam on either of them. use factory mags and read the damn manual and oil it correctly and don't use fud reloads and you'll be fine.
>>
Only malfunctions I've had were due to me occasionally limp wristing. Self correcting.

ROFL The gun is fucked, I just chased that same line of logic With a mini-14 rifle, nope gun was just generally fucked. If you replace the part, or they do, and it's still not fixed, the whole thing is broken.

The only guns that ARE modern and ARENT reliable are BROKEN

I love how glockfags and rugerfags make the SAME arguments to suport their low-quality high-value preferences. "Just don't do anything fun or exciting, or even different, and you'll be safe*"

I don't get the deal with people hating Glocks ergonomics. I have YUGE hands so Glocks just feel perfect. Put a Sig in my hands and it feels like shit. Same for Berettas.
