Marines can do what the Army can, sure. But we are a much smaller force with duty's all over the globe.

Marines are a smaller force, that's why they are more selective. Higher standards, and more importantly more drops. As in the weak get cut out.

That said, Marines couldn't be without big Army. We need them to be the cushion so we can be the malicious little bulldog we are. We haven't hopped Islands in a while but are still ready, and until then will land fight with the best.

We need the Army for force projection, the Navy for a lift, and chairforce for air superiority.

In all actuality, it's exactly the reverse. Marine Corps is like Jordanian armed forces with 1/3 of Jordan's armor and aircraft. It's like a militarized police with more vehicles than the armored cavalry and less practical combat application than US coast guard. Also before the USMC had their own sniper school they sent snipers to US army sniper school. Samer for airborne and air assault school. Marines also go through ranger school sapper school etc. if marines are so great why isn't army sof going to marine schools

My point is our assaultmen, every Infantryman, every SOF Marine is trained by us. The Army is larger, they let devil dogs come to your schools. It's not a MOS requirement. It's additional training. We are thankful and usually courteous. That's all I'm saying. HUA?
