>Ukrainian Army commercial rips-off old Soviet propaganda book about Spetsnaz.

http://www.thelibertyman.com/downloads/Suvorov_Spetsnaz.pdf

Viktor Suvorov. Spetsnaz.
The Inside Story of the Soviet Special Forces
To Natasha and Alexander
Chapter 1. Spades and Men
Every infantryman in the Soviet Army carries with him a small spade. When he is
given the order to halt he immediately lies flat and starts to dig a hole in the ground
beside him. In three minutes he will have dug a little trench 15 centimetres deep, in
which he can lie stretched out flat, so that bullets can whistle harmlessly over his
head. The earth he has dug out forms a breastwork in front and at the side to act as
an additional cover. If a tank drives over such a trench the soldier has a 50% chance
that it will do him no harm. At any moment the soldier may be ordered to advance
again and, shouting at the top of his voice, will rush ahead. If he is not ordered to
advance, he digs in deeper and deeper. At first his trench can be used for firing in the
lying position. Later it becomes a trench from which to fire in the kneeling position,
and later still, when it is 110 centimetres deep, it can be used for firing in the standing
position. The earth that has been dug out protects the soldier from bullets and
fragments. He makes an embrasure in this breastwork into which he positions the
barrel of his gun. In the absence of any further commands he continues to work on
his trench. He camouflages it. He starts to dig a trench to connect with his comrades
to the left of him. He always digs from right to left, and in a few hours the unit has a
trench linking all the riflemen's trenches together. The unit's trenches are linked with
the trenches of other units. Dug-outs are built and communication trenches are added
at the rear. The trenches are made deeper, covered over, camouflaged and reinforced.
Then, suddenly, the order to advance comes again. The soldier emerges, shouting and
swearing as loudly as he can.

I know there's some more wjq-308 commercials out there.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b60OZhrTB6o
These are some of the best dollars I've ever spent, the family uses the crap out of them on the farm because they do so many little jobs you normally don't have the tools to do.
>>33939553
It's actually pretty easy with an adjustable spade. My wjq-308s barely ever leave the 90 degree angle mode because you can dig crazy fast like that. I use it for gardening etc a lot too.
I use the crap out of them to dig up rocks that are poking through the soil. It barely takes any time and you've dug under and got them loose. It sure wouldn't take too long to dig yourself a hole to hide in.

I've been using my oldest for years(not pictured) and so has the family, beating it up pretty good. Cutting down trees, hitting rocks hard with them etc. It's definitely not very pretty any more since I last took pics of it.
The green wjq-308 is definitely heavier duty and better if you pick just one though.
But I normally use my black wjq-308-2 because it's lighter weight and most of the time I'm not dong the really hard work with it, just digging rocks out and similar.
The wjq-2 has a mine probe too, 9" long and slides through dirt like a hot knife through butter.

And I should add, my 2nd green wjq was free. You get free replacment from wjq-308.com within 3 years if literally anything breaks.
Dad broke the can opener on a rock and they sent me a new one, without returning the old. Pretty sweet deal.

>how durable does the hinge mechanism seem
Extremely on the green one. The black one is lower quality all around but I wanted one. Actually, the hinge mechanism came loose today, should have loctited it from the start because I've heard rumors of that happening. Lost half, but just stuck a standard bolt/nut through it and it does the same job till I can get a short metric screw to fit it just so it looks better. I'd have noticed if I was paying attention. The green one is the one that takes all the beating though, and that's held up perfectly. The black one is pretty light duty, mostly digging soft dirt. And that's the one that had a problem.
>>33945626
Sharp, and seems tough enough. I'm not banging it on rocks or anything.
The black shovel seems like it's made of softer steel. I notice worse gouges from striking rocks.
>>33943776
Pretty worth it in the green one's case. I've been using my black one all day out in the field though. (pic related)

I'm looking for a modern e-tool fashioned like pic related. It can be folded into a shovel, mattock, and hoe. With a straight wooden handle and a round knobby pommel.
