im the most worried about someone holding onto the gun in a struggle and somehow preventing it from firing than getting caught on clothes. Its why I carry a hammerless snub nose, I feel it has the lowest chance of being wrestled from me or someone preventing the moving parts from doing their job.

Not really. ive tried. I had my friend try to hold my lcr 38 cylinder with both hands and I could still get a shot off if I squeezed as hard as I could. It was theoretically possible for someone to jam the flesh of their fingertips between the fluting of the cylinder and the frame of the revolver to prevent it from spinning but we werent willing to try because it would quite easily crush the finger of anyone with small enough fingers and ours were to large.

My other fear is how easy the cylinder is to open on the lcr compared to other revolvers.

Those snubbies with the 1 inch barrel look fine. I don't like the ones with the really short barrel. I guess it doesn't make a big difference, since all the gas escapes at the cylinder gap, and even a short barrel gives it the spin, but the longer sight base is nice, you know? And of course I prefer the 4 inch barrels the most, like old cop revolvers.

But so many revolvers are just the super-snub or the longcat 6 inch barrels anymore. Makes me sad.

Won't stop the chambered round from firing, though. Unlike an automatic, which can have the slide pushed backwards out of battery much easier.
