Basically any somewhat established handgun (i.e. multiple reviews and longterm performance/breakage stats available) from any of the major manufacturers is good to buy. Try the ergonomics, how you like the general feel and think about what you want the gun for (competition, just fun shooting, hunting).
This shouldn't be a problem anymore, but European brands are preferable to US ones in case of delivery problems (panic buying, export restrictions,etc.) if you ever need any parts or accessories
