Hey look, a thread where people with no experience with the gun complain about it

I bought a 709 new for 160 bucks a few days ago just to see if it works. I ran probably ~600 or so rounds of shitty magtech 115 grain fmj through it.

I didn't experience a single malfunction, and the accuracy was acceptable. The trigger is alright, nothing special. Double action for hard primers would be nice I guess but I didn't get to test it. The sights suck, the magazines don't drop free and are a bitch to load. But the gun works. I'm gonna throw it in my tackle box/other container for a backup blaster.

Does Taurus make some shit guns? Yes, absolutely. PT247 is trash. Most of their older one-off designs are trash. The PT92 and it's derivatives are decent, especially because of the frame safety. I can't speak for their revolvers personally.

It's stupid to completely disregard a gun just because of some ebin maymays you saw about a different model. It's no different than saying that all glocks explode because of some people running hotload .40 through their G22.
