What would /k/ recommend for body armor against blunt attacks, and protective face and head gear along with a respirator (for things like tear gas maybe)

A batman outfit.

Pros:
>full-body protection while still looking slightly less autistic than others with body armor
>can bring stupid gadgets in your belt and no one will make a fuss over it
>unlikely to get charged with disrupting the peace since you could just claim cosplay
>most likely won't get attacked for no reason since no one hates batman
>people will most likely just take pictures of you and you have potential meme power
>can still protest or whatever the fuck you want to do, and will attract more attention since you are batman

Cons:
>can't wear respirator without ruining the look
>probably expensive
>can only be used by non-manlet white male
>niggers might still jump you to take your outfit
>>
Just learn to take a hit, mate
>>
>>33936415
The trick isn't to take a single hit, its to take more then you would be able to with out some armor. That way you can keep spouting autistic memes to angry leftists longer.
>>
>>33936307
Cons:
>Batman is an Anti-gun cuck
>>
>>33936081

Literally the best solution I have heard. I think a very clear mouth/nose covering could MAYBE defend your prideful looks, but hey, who's attacking Batman? I think with trial, error, and a slight investment, you could pull off a 300-400$ armored Batman suit that looks amazing and is durable. (Those numbers are a guess by a guy who doesn't shop often for armor.)

P.S. I don't know shit about commenting on 4chan, lurker here.

Out of curiosity, what defines a "true gas" here, and how is that different than other airborne chemicals?

>Fog vs Smog
From the context clues it seems the author means that particulates such as dust, ash, and spray mists are technically just very small yet hazardous solids/liquids mixed with the air like smoke or pepper spray (think "smog"), whereas "true gas" would be the gaseous or vapor state of things like chlorine gas, tear gas, and even water-vapor (think "fog").
>>
>>33938460
To expand on this and what it means when choosing a filter, the "non-true gasses" (smog) can be mostly filtered from the air using simple barrier methods such as paper, fine-thread cloth, or charcloth. However, "true gas" threats (Fog) often call for the barrier to be treated with a chemical that would bind with the "true gas" threat to create an inert compound - which is why >>33937995 advises to soak the mouth-cover in vinegar.
>>
>33936139
Using a suit of armor won't protect your from blunt objects because the force will go through the suit.
>>
>>33938517
True in some cases, false in others.

If you're going to get hit with a baseball bat a suit of metal armor would absolutely help (provided the metal is steel and not tin) because it spreads the impact force of the bat out across the armor instead of localizing it to precisely where the bat strikes. Same force, but spread out which minimizes damage.

If you're being shot, then no the suit of armor doesn't help because the ballistic force of the bullet demands that the steel be soft enough to "catch" the bullet, meaning the blowout or backface signature from the bullet hitting the armor creates a small and sudden deformity in the armor which then strikes the wearer, causing localized blunt-force trauma.
>>
>>33938314
nice
>>
Cut up some old tires and create some makeshift rubber armor. Tires will absorb impact of blunt objects and knives will get stuck in them/bounce off.

>>33938460

Vapors, dust, fumes, mists, fogs and the like aren't gases. They display gaseous behavior, but only due to their small particle size.

The definition of gas-
"an airlike fluid substance which expands freely to fill any space available, irrespective of its quantity."

Isn't very helpful, either. For this context, we could assume that any airborne material that will eventually precipitate out is not a gas. True gases will stratify, but they won't precipitate.

Depends on your budget, and how much time you have.

If you have money, and need it now, motorcycle gear. If you have no money, and need it soon, get used sports equipment from craigslist. If you have a moderate amount of money and can wait a few weeks, get the knockoff damascus gear that the chinks sell on alibaba for $100.

The original Batman is not, actually murdered people with guns on the daily. Over time they soften him up, made him into the no guns faggot that he was...thats slowly changing, he has been using guns more often. Like in the Dark Knight rises, Batman had no problems with shooting at the driver and the lil convoy that followed the bomb around, even killed a few with the bat her guns. In Batman vs superman, he killed a guy who had flame thrower, killed him with a m60.

Gear up in full on hockey equipment minus the skates. Good mobility, adequate protection of vital areas from blunt impacts and a helmet designed with optional facemask. Good equipment could be between 500-1000 syrup shekels new but look around online or for used equipment.
