A drunk driver broke my back as I was out walking my dogs. I wasn't paralyzed completely but still wrecked. It was an object of conveniece - I'm pre tty poor now, because of well, losing everything due to the accident and medical costs/loss of income and all that shit, and I ended up in a slummy shithole - the furniture was supplied by a friend (not a suspect as he's deceased) and it actually just ended u p being the best place I could put it. I also got pretty much a lifetime of 9mm ammo too, god bless him. It was a joke because we always argued about 9mm vs 45acp with me on the 9mm side. Fuck, I wish he was still around. Saddest thing is he left his bike and guns for his son who was 17 but his ex-wife ended up letting them all go in the estate sale. Hopefully at least he gets provided for, but knowing her, it's off for some indian casino time.

I'm in bad straits but I mean, I survived being knocked dead unconscious by a car, having my back broke, my skull cracked, a dislocated shoulder, broken ankle, and just a mess of road rash and shit, was told I'd be a paraplegic in a nursing home not even wiping my own arse for the rest of my life, but I'm living on my own, with a nurse who comes once a day three days a week, a care worker to help with cleaning and meal prep, and runs errands like groceries, for about 20 hours a week, and I'm getting around, using a walker to get around, taking walks with my service dog who's AWESOME, a black lab who's just ridiculously smart and is my best friend (I'm going to rescue another dog from the pound, for at home as well after this especially for guard purposes, but Rufus my lab is um, more of a welcome and take my stuff dog anyway)... all together, I've been through some shit, I've been robbed, I'm pissed off, sad, but it's just stuff, I can vent here, life will go on, I'll keep fighting, and that's how it is.
