Devil's advocate: these rifles will mostly be used in the snow against polar bears by drunken eskimos. Making the stock bright orange makes it easier to see and thus easier to find if you get the listerine shakes and drop it.

The only reason any of us give a shit about the canadian rangers is because they used to carry enfields.

They won't be stateside until August. I am going to sell a couple of surplus Tikkas and buy one of these rifles. First proper open sight bolt action to be offered in quite a while. Don't even think about saying something positive about that Ruger GunSite piece of shit. If that rifle had M-14 sights, it would have been passable, but it just has shit sights.

Rangers are actually useful by projecting a footprint all over northern communities. They help in SAR operations and can serve as guides for police, army, officials etc up north
