Mounting a light on the Gen2 will be extremely difficult.
The MOS has an objectively better grip texture.
There's very little reason to get your slide machined now that the Shield RMS exists, which is so low-profile that it'll cowitness with normal-height irons even when installed on an MOS plate.

And before anyone asks, I did the cut myself. It took about 4 hours with a dremel, an xacto, and sandpaper. Here's my inspiration and a good guide:

Pretty much. It still shoots like a 19, just with a missing pinky rest. Which can be added back with a mag extension.
